Re: NLM performance pick up
I was quoted 160€ + p&p for the unprogrammable version and 200€+ p&p for the fully programmable one. The only downside I can see (other than it running off the battery, if that bothers you that is) is the fact that you cannot adjust the two pick ups to time the cylinders individually. Howeve...

Re: NLM performance pick up
Well I put the old boyer system back on and she runs like a dream ( thankfully not a super dream!!). Which basically rules out plugs and ht leads (and any carb/fuel issues). So my problem is with the coils, black box or old pick up. Having spoken to Anne at SWF I must admit I'm very tempted to ditch...

Re: NLM performance pick up
Oh I did not know they could do that, I'm not far away from them at all so that sounds like an excellent idea. I'll report back when I've had it tested. Thank you very much for your advice, its much appreciated. Tony

Re: NLM performance pick up
It also appears too brisk for me too! Even with the gap set up perfectly at paper thin, nothing, Nada. Not even a hint of starting. I've owners this bike for 26 years now and fitted the boyer system about 20 years ago due to poor starting! Only swapped to the new NLM system as thought it would be be...

Re: NLM performance pick up
Thanks for the advice everyone, good to hear I'm not the only one having troubles with it. Think I will try setting up the NLM pick up on more time, although brass feeler gauges seem a little elusive so may have to go the paper route. Before buying the NLM kit I did try to buy a Sasche system (i alr...

NLM performance pick up
Hi everyone, quick question has anyone out there been able to fit one of these to there bike successfully? I have tried, set the air gaps to minimum as instructed but for the life of me it won't start. However put the old black pick up on and it starts first kick! Is there a trick to fitting them an...

Re: BPR7ES What happens if I use them?
Ah thats good to know, no rush to replace them then. Just off into garage now to do swap so will report back.
Just out of interest and for possible future reference if coils OK, does anyone know if you can use the early type red pickup with the new NLM ignition box/coils?

BPR7ES What happens if I use them?
Morning, having problems with bike dropping onto 1 cylinder, the only plugs I could get were the resister types (going to get new non resister ones asap) but in mean time will running resister types have any adverse effects? FYI new plugs did not sort problem, swapping coils over today to see if pro...

Re: TEC shocks
Good afternoon Alan, I have a pair of these shocks fitted to my Stort, and have nothing bad to say about them. Was not aware of the breaking problem, but I don't have the extensions on. Mine are the 310mm ones, as that's the length I had previously fitted and I prefer the stance of the bike with its...

Its all in the timing...
Apologises if this has been covered before (did a search but could not find the answer) and I'm sure it obvious but if when I put a strobe light on the flywheel at full advance and the 'flash' is half way between the tdc and timing marks. Do I need to advance or retard the ignition to get the marks ...
