Re: 2 Spanish Kangaroos looking for a new home !

So...3 months later. Not much off-road Morini love in Spain.I have reduced the price to 999 euros.
Sorry I can't seem to attach a photo.

It's a blue X3. With a X2 kickstarter motor. Rebuilt Bi-Turbo shock. Nearly new Mitas tyres. I have the X3 engine and most of the X2 bike for spares.

Un saludo.

Re: Kanguro 350 swingarm bushes

Turns out the spindle fit inside the bushing is tight but doable, while the bushing fit inside the swingarm is more of a squeeze.
All good now. The play on the old plastic bushes was extreme.
What sort of pivots do the road Morinis have ?

Kanguro 350 swingarm bushes

Hi. Just looked at my older thread and realise we have had the kanguro in the family for 3 years. Gets used most days for mrs P's commute and occasional weekend fun. Its been relable, fun and very cheap to run. However i am now in the process of fitting some new phosphor bronze bushes that came from...

Re: Hello. Here´s mine...

Did it.

Ended up just putting in a smaller battery.

Nothing irreversible.

Also raised the forks and lowered the shock. Mrs P finds the whole thing more manageable.

Saludos.

Re: Hello. Here´s mine...

I picked up a running x2 for parts and have been thinking about mounting the smaller tank. I am hoping to carefully remove and modify the X3 tank bracket so it can remain an option. The x3 frame already has the brackets for the x2 tank mounts. Clearly i can´t keep the massive x3 battery/bracket with...

Re: Hello. Here´s mine...

......and my next question is....... Whats the deal with the rear brake disc. Is it chrome ? , seems to be very hard and despite trying different pads, very smooth, In fact i can see zero wear. Is it just an ´80´s thing? like the chrome discs on old jap bikes. Is a better stoping effect possible? Th...

Re: Hello. Here´s mine...

Sorted. The dart carbs proved it was a carb issue, AND gave me extra incentive as they showed that the bike was a total beauty. So after lots (and I do mean LOTS) of swopping about, finally narrowed it down to one main jet that although looking good when held upto the light next to the oth...

Re: Hello. Here´s mine...

Hi Paul, thanks for the suggestions and yep, all the airbox parts are there. Tried some more combinations today. Running without the flower pot and then even the filter. Managed to make the bogging down even worse. So then went the other way and wrapped 3/4 of the filter in tape. :? With this...

Re: Hello. Here´s mine...

still not running right I stripped and checked the carbs (again) and could see nothing blocked or odd. I have now spent a lot of time hooning about trying to be clear about the symtoms. and it goes like this.... Start and ticks over luverly. Pulls smoothly up through all the gears, BUT only if I kee...

Re: Hello. Here´s mine...

Thanks for the answers. Mickey M- yep, the kick starts good for me. I have tried right foot side stand/centre stand/no stand and even left foot on the bike. I do find it gets in the way when standing up on the pegs. EVGuru- your right. Raising the needle didn´t help. But its not a hesitation pulling...

Re: Hello. Here´s mine...

Have to admit to a subtle de blue- ing going on. Original blue gaiters and seat cover were a bit the worse for wear. I also have a patched up screen ,which is ,yes, blue. :D I managed to find a good used shock, removed the struggling starter which had lost one of its friction pads, changed the cam b...

Hello. Here´s mine...

My first post and my first Morini.

Refreshed after a 10 year rest.

I am very excited about this bike. What a lovely classic engine design. The ´80´s Italian enduro bits work quite well too.
