500 Carb

Hi.

Anyone have a decent 500 26mm carb they'd be prepared to part with. Thanks.

Corsaro ignition

Hi.

Can anyone help me? I searched for info on any service info for a 1970's Corsaro 125, but with no success.
I'm looking specifically at the ignition - points gap and timing.
I've found various info on valve clearances - .05mm and .10mm.
Any info at all would be great.
Thanks.

Re: Corsaro special/supersport?

OK, I'll be a bit more specific. The bike is in really good condition and only requires a few cosmetics - a new seat cover being the most obvious one. I've done the usual internet search but there is very little about the '70s special model. I am assuming, (although I can't find any info to back up ...

Corsaro special/supersport?

Hi.

I've just acquired an early '70s Corsaro 125.

I believe it's called the special, it runs and is very good original condition.

Does anyone have any info on them? manuals, spares etc.

Cheers

Check your nuts.

Started getting a strange noise and vibration which appeared to be coming from clutch casing area. Got side case off and was having a general look/check around. To my horror I found that the primary gear had a small amount of backlash and the oil pump drive gear could be spun on the shaft. It turned...

Re: protection sleeves.

Hi John.
Can you elaborate a bit on the plastic yoghurt pot trick for the seals?
Cheers

protection sleeves.

Hi.
Any one got a spare set of the oil seal protection sleeves -recommended when the clutch seals are changed on the 500, they'd be willing to part with?
Cheers

Re: Spewing oil.

Cured her.
Took off cleaned and inspected for damage all pipe work associated with the collector/separator box thing along with the box itself and reassembled with new clips, 2 new O rings on dipstick and Bobs' your uncle, or should that be Roberto's tuo zio

Re: Spewing oil.

There was some oil on the right hand side of the tyre but it was worse on the left. The disc had quite a thick film on it. Hopefully I'll have Sunday free this week- if I'm not working, so I'll give it a thorough course of looking at and treat it to some new o rings, if it still carries on misbehavi...

Re: Spewing oil.

It is still doing it, albeit not as bad so I'm guessing the drop in level is helping here. Although as I said in my previous post I've changed the oil several times, each time filling to halfway between marks and never experienced it before. Haven't had time to give it all a proper look over as I'm ...

Re: Spewing oil.

PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGY PAT, but to me 'a strong sense of not pushing the dipstick all the way in' is neither a suggestion nor comment, but indicates that you have definite knowledge and therefore implying I failed to replace the dipstick correctly. I may be touchy, but there you go. Unfortunately ...
