Front brake refresh with Venhill.

The postie brought me some bits and bobs to sort out the front brake on my Sport. I have just fitted some Tarozzi clip-on risers, which make all the difference, giving a comfy(er) ride that gels better with the footpegs. Whilst doing this I thought I would have a peek at the brake fluid. Not a good ...

Many thanks for the offer, but I now have one. And don't say I said this, but it's more fun to ride than my Morini  :D

Red pick up for 350

As per title a good working red pick up please. I have to ask, although I think I would have more chance asking for a unicorns horn :D
I know NLM do one, but have also seen they can be a pain to set up.
Cheers,
Phil.

Torque values forks/wheels.

I have searched including the links in the club tech stuff but cannot find this information anywhere. I need the value for the front wheel axle nut. Front forks lower axle pinch bolt. Fork yokes upper and lower clamp bolts to hold the fork legs. If anyone can help I would be very grateful :D Phil.

Re: Handle bar light switch unit, what alternative?

Yes, it's still available as per my picture but the wiring connected to it is different (the switch housing and internals are identical, same part number on the housing). You have 2 choices; either desolder and fit your current switch wiring or adapt the wiring the new switch comes with. I kept my o...

Re: Transducer and pick up combinations.

The extra diode means you might need to spin the engine over faster to trigger the ignition boxes and create a spark. That could explain the easier starting, thank you. Like 72deg, I would be interested to know if a mismatch of pick up / transducer will adversely affect the ignition advance curve? ...

Re: Transducer and pick up combinations.

Thank you for that, much appreciated. The starter coil has recently been rewound by NLM and the rotor has good magnatism. I think a certain amount of the prolonged starting is down to me struggling with a left side kickstart and clip-ons. This is the transducers fitted (323982) http://i276.photobuck...

Transducer and pick up combinations.

My Sport has always taken a fair few kicks to get it started, but is fine once warm. I have the later grey transducers and assumed that my pick up would be black. Checked today, and it red, so it shouldn't work well with the grey transducers according to the Dutch site? Once running, it revs cleanly...

Re: Sasche ignition

Hi Joseph, Any electronic system that does away with the stator starter winding, transducers and pick-up will be an improvement on a tired original set up and the Sasche looks to be one of the best (but pretty expensive). You will need to also change the coils and plugs caps which adds to the price....
