Where should my VIN number be on the frame please?

Hi, I have a 1979 Maestro. It's VIN number seems to have disappeared off the frame, it appears to have been lost in a repaint before I bought it. Whereabouts should it be please?
Any suggestions of anyone in the Oxfordshire area who could restamp it?

Re: Grimeca Rear Caliper rebuild

I have just been and checked, The original Piston is not 28mm as I previously stated  should not do these things from memory, now wondering what is 28mm, and no did not fit 28mm pistons in a 38mm hole. :| The piston is 38mm diameter where it meets the seals and 14mm deep until the step at the ...

Grimeca Rear Caliper rebuild

I have a problem with the Rear caliper on a 500 SEI. The caliper seized up and needed a rebuild. Purchased a set of seals from NLM but could not get the pistons as none available and ours were quite badly pitted, beyond a little refacing. Managed to get a pair of 28mm pistons that were intended for ...

Re: Grimeca Rear Brake Master - 1980 500S

I know this is now old, but did you resolve the sticking problem when it had stood for a while.
I have just rebuilt a rear m/c in the same manner as you and am also getting binding, was wondering of the u-cup should be in the other groove.

Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself

Thank you all for the warm welcomes, really appreciated. I have been round the TT course in a bus, as a passenger in a car and as pillion but I am looking forward to riding it myself, it'll be one item ticked off my bucket list and it sounds like a Morini is a good choice to do it on. There looks to...

Hi I am Manda, I live in Oxfordshire. I don't own a Morini or indeed any bike right now. But I have wanted a Morini 3 1/2 since the 1980s and I have decided that now is the time to pursue that dream, so I hope to be on the road by next year. I have joined to learn more before I purchase one. My husb...
