All these things depend on the year of production and if you have in mind to have a 100% original one (quite rare after all these years!). A foto and frame number would help a lot for orientation

If I want to be sure that my 501 starts first kick (or second): the two chokes open, one slow kick without ignition, then looking for compresion, ignition on and a firm kick. Do you have 12 V on the brown cable entering the regulator with ignition on? If not the regulator won´t work.

Green and white wire should be longer because they go to the central electic port. The yellow ones have a shorter way to de regulator. I still can´t find a reason why one of the yellow ones is marked.

I don´t see any reason for the 1 ferrule on one of the yellow wires, there should be none.

A late Excalibur stator should be a Kokussan one.

When one cilinder is off, you can see with a dentists mirror the stamp on the cam . If there is none it´s a strada one.

As far as I know tere are two diferent casing for Street- and Enduromodels. And of course the casings for the Kokussan alternator

No, as said above, it´s a 500 (478ccm) 6 gear bottom end with 501 cilinder an heads plus a L5 cam. The rims are brandnew ones from Morad/Spain bought 15 years ago.
