Re: new to morini
My '74 Strada has red, blue and green. The red is ignition 'on'; it's not a normal ignition light as it doesn't do out when the alternator starts charging. Bit useless really. Green is lights 'on'. Blue is main beam. I've added another idiot light for indicators (not that it is visible in daylight a...

Re: Cranked brake lever for early Strada
Yes, Morini Jen, that looks exactly what I'm looking for, thanks!
Hopefully someone will have a spare or know the part number.

Cranked brake lever for early Strada
I've got an early Strada, drum brakes, wire wheels, with a 'crescent' front brake lever. This lever is a bit of a stretch for my little hands and I believe that, on later drum braked models, Morini fitted a cranked lever to solve this problem. Has anyone got one they are willing to part with or can ...

Re: Morini Museum
I went to the Museum at the top of the Timmelsjoch. Quite a surprise! Much, much bigger than I expected and very interesting.
And, as has been expressed, the restaurant is very good too!

Re: Morini Museum
The Austrian museum is on the Timmelsjoch Pass and, as I intend to ride that pass, I shall look forward to visiting it.
And, Mickey, you are right: I arrive in Italy on Saturday 6th July and the Guzzi museum closes for the month of August on...the 5th August!
Happy days!

Re: Morini Museum
Thanks guys. Explains why I couldn't find it.
I intend to visit the Guzzi museum as well, so thanks for the encouragement.
I'll try to find the Austrian one as I'll probably ride down through the Alps.

Morini Museum
Hi,
I'm planning to ride down to the Italian Lakes next week so I thought I would visit some things Morini. But I cannot find online information about a Morini museum. Does anyone have any details or advice on places to visit?
Thanks

Filler cap
Hi, Has anybody got an old filler cap anywhere? It can be seriously manky as I have the outer cover and I'm after the insides - the sprung-loaded bit that holds the rubber seal. (I had an old cap re-plated along with some other stuff and the platers 'lost' the inner bit, so I'm left with a beautiful...

Strada rear wheel spindle
Hi,
I'm looking for a rear axle for a '74 Strada, the double nut one.
My parts list has them as 43.05.17 but M'Dina doesn't have them listed.
Anyone know whether there is a superceded parts number, or whether the spindle from other models will fit?
Thanks.

Re: Pulsing rear brake
THanks, Richard. It never occurred to me that the entire wheel could be oval! I assumed it would be the hub which is why I tried to measure the inside of the rotating hub with a (too big) dial gauge. And failed. If the entire wheel is out of whack I would have thought that it would need re-building ...

Pulsing rear brake
Has anyone come across a rear drum going out of round? My Strada's rear brake appears to pulse on and off at slow speed such that, with the rear brake, I cannot bring the bike lo a halt without a lurch. It works fine when up to speed. It feels just like a warped disc. I've got the wheel off the bike...
