Fuel filters inside 350 Sport tank

Hi folks,
does anyone know where I might get a couple of those long fuel filters, the ones that attach to the top of the fuel taps that sit inside the tank on a 350 Sport?
Any help appreciated!
Thanks
Graham

Re: Battery for 350 Sport

Graham, yes, just connect two of the 4. They intelligently designed the batteries to make them suit bikes that want the terminals in a particular location e.g. positive on the front left for some bike models and front right for others. I happen to use both sets of terminals on my motobatt in my K1 ...

Re: Battery for 350 Sport

Thanks all for your responses. Re the Motobatt variety, MB9U, I have looked these up and there seems to be plenty out there, are they all the same? Also, it seems to have four terminals, whereas of course my Sport only has connections for two. Am i being dumb or does one just connect to two of those...

Battery for 350 Sport

Hi fellow Morinis

I have a 1978 Sport soon to be reunited with the road.
I need some recommendations regarding battery types and suppliers which would be most helpful - Gel types whatever, what are my options?

Many thanks, Graham

Re: Cambelt change

Thanks agin all. Took me ages but got there is the end. Took me ages but it was really mucky in there so took some time to have a good clean up. Was hard work getting the old belt off and new one on as I should have split the old one as some folks mentioned but hey ho next time will be easier! All t...

Re: Cambelt change

Hi Ming. For what it’s worth I made a flywheel holding tool out of a redundant piece of 18mm mdf by cutting the shape out with a jig saw and fitting 8mm (I think) bolts for the pins. It’s done 10 belt changes so far with no problems. Nothing wrong with a bodge if it works! This is the route I took ...

Re: Cambelt change

When you get to the belt, you can slit it lengthways and peel it off one half at a time without disturbing the timing. Slide the new one on while one half is still in position then remove that second half. Works a treat, I did it last time. DD Thanks, I didn't do that but wished I had as was hard w...

Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself

Hi all. I am Graham in Holmfirth west Yorks. Have recently rejoined the club after a haiatus in which the '78 350 Sport (owned 20 years) has been off road for around ten years. I first joined about 2002 but the usual life stuff got in the way... I got my bike in London and found out it had been rebu...

Re: Cambelt change

Thanks Steve.

Will try again with the gear and brake technique tomorrow.
If not, then will rig something up. Indeed I don't want to spend where I don't need to!

Re: Cambelt change

Thanks for all your other replies on this. Looking at my flywheel it looks different to many others I have seen (see pic), with 3 slots rather than holes that would usually take a tool/holder. Says Ducati on it. Anyway it was rebuilt when I bought it 20 years ago by the late Phil Smith, and he chang...

Chrome instrument bezel (just one)! & Sport mudguard wanted

Wanted chrome instrument surround/bezel I have one of the original plastic chrome clock surrounds but need another. I know it is a long shot, but does anyone have a spare for sale? I am also looking for a '78 350 Sport front mudguard, my Sport has a Strada one on presently (in really good condition)...

Cambelt change

Hi all, I have just got a new cambelt (thanks George Lane) as my Sport has been off road a few years and got a puller and want to tackle the job. Do I need anything else, i.e., lots of folks seem to be using an air driver to aid removal. Is this essential as I would rather not have to shell out £70 ...
