Re: Veglia electronic Tachometer problem
I had my electronic tacho repaired by speedy cables ( www.speedycables.com) in Swansea. They replaced the cct board, calibrated it and fitted a new bezel that I supplied. The process was not cheap. The tacho does not move under 4000 rpm then like yours "twitches" , luckily the engineer at ...

Re: A question of forks
Thanks for the replies, Whilst I was waiting I ultra sonic cleaned the caps and their internals, all manner of gak came out so I guess the ball was not seating properly. I gave everything a good blow through with compressed air and replaced the outer O-rings. I looked at the recess where the counter...

A question of forks
Good morning all, Having just changed the oil in my forks I noticed a `hissing' coming from the right fork leg cap. It appears to be coming from the counter-sunk machine screw in the cap recess. Below the screw is a spring and ball-bearing that looks like a pressure release. I cannot find any refere...

Re: Tarozzi rearsets
Hi Jenny and Norbert, I am a regular customer of Officine08.com and have the rearset hanger on back order. I will give Dieter Hoffmann a message on the off chance he may have some parts gathering dust. I have found a guy on the Italian Morini club site (https://www.morinispecial.it/79-gini/177-acces...

Re: Tarozzi rearsets
I dont think the plate option will work as the break is close to the foot peg mount, I may not get any purchase. I will try and find a specialist MIG/TIG welder close-by. It is very difficult as nobody out here in the sticks is on the internet, its word of mouth only. I am toying with gluing the bro...

MOVED FROM ANNOUNCEMENTS I recently had my electronic tacho repaired by speedy cables ( www.speedycables.com) in Swansea. They replaced the cct board, calibrated and fitted a new bezel that I supplied. The process was not cheap and I am not convinced the tacho is working properly now. I found the be...

Tarozzi rearsets 1976 Strada
I'm looking for a left side rearset mount ( Tarozzi part No 0000026) for a 350 Sport/Strada. I may be interested in a full left hand mount or even a full set if the price is right.
Thanks for reading this.

Tarozzi rearsets
Afternoon all, My 76 strada and I recently had the privilege of a very close encounter with a very very large dog resulting in a bent exhaust and a snapped left side Tarozzi rear set mount (part No 0000026). I looked on line and a seller near me said one could be ordered in 5-10 days, fair enough th...

Re: Plans go up in smoke and other electrical gremlins
I have ordered the `powerbox 'and it should be with me in 5 days (Italian customs permitting). I compared several Ducati options and after market versions there-of and decided to go with what you say works. I removed the rotor again and checked for trapped or burnt wires, I felt sure it was OK as I ...

Plans go up in smoke and other electrical gremlins
Evening all, After my fun with my ignition timing problems I finally took my 350 Strada to have it's Italian `Revisione'. It's like a first time MOT and requires certificates of conformity, wide and varied other documents including a statement that all tax owed has been paid, weird I know. Well, I h...

Re: Ignition timing problems
Joy of Joys!! Thanks for all your input, Mark hit the nail on the head and on close inspection the cam gear was one tooth out on the belt. With the alignment fixed I have strobed the timing marks and all is well (on both pots) and I have adjustment via the pick-up housing. I have re-adjusted the car...

Re: Ignition timing problems
I'm pretty certain the result was the same only harder to see as I had not white marked ART 2. To be honest I can't be sure as I tried so many permutations. I will try again on Weds, I'm not allowed to tinker tomorrow due to it being wifee's birthday, I did say that, as a treat she could help but it...

Re: Ignition timing problems
Hi Mickey, Even at idle, the ANT1 mark is lagging behind the case mark. I have tried moving the magnetic housing its full travel within the kidney slots and there is no noticeable difference. I have now set it back to the arrow pointing at the punched dot. I think I will remove the rotor and ensure ...

Re: Ignition timing problems
Just tried again and no, there are no alignments at the 12 o clock position. If I strobe the 9 o clock position (normal position for a 76 Strada) I can see the ANT1 mark illuminated but it is about 30 degrees behind the case marking, so about 8 o clock. I do not seem to have enough play on the ignit...
