Re: Lafranconi
They weren't by any chance bought as part of a group of several old Morini exhausts sold on e bay (thought I noticed some hiding among the others in the picture)

Re: I need your help
My local Halfords used to have them when I last needed some - it was the easiest option where I live- they still have them to order in - type in continental fuses

Re: Can anyone help - cylinder cutting out when hot
When I first got my 3.5 it would cut out on the front after exactly 7 miles then recover when cooled and do exactly the same thing again. It was uncanny how precise the distance was for it to recur. It turned out to be the stator coil breaking down when hot, or at least getting it rewound solved the...

Re: Misfire under power
That looks like the nlm "performance!" pick up to me - I think there is information on it in somewhere in the library - if you can't find it I am sure I have a copy of the instruction set up somewhere.

Re: Strada top yoke wanted
At the risk of taking this thread further off course it happened to me recently - took the bike up Hard Knott, a bit blase as its a route I do fairly often and going past lots of tourists (pride comes before a fall). Went past a group on old Lambrettas, then round one of the steepest bends into one ...

Re: Ignition fault
I had similar issues when I first got my bike - a 79 sport, I would repeatedly manage to get an almost uncannily accurate 7 miles before I lost the front cylinder, it would then start again when cool only for the issue to repeat. The stator seemed to be the issue on mine and was resolved by getting ...

historic tax
Hello - to cut a long story short my bike is a 79 sport so has been eligible for historic vehicle tax for a year or so but I hadn't got round to it due to resto and moving house. Bike completed a month or so ago just ready for a sunny day, so I taxed it as I didn't want to be riding illegally and we...

carb issue
Hello - have finally put the bike back together after its partial resto!. Was most surprised when it started after a few kicks as was sure my rewire was going to raise a few issues. As part of the process I had replaced the pads in the choke/enrichment levers and put in smaller idle jets - so long a...

Re: FRONT BRAKE Update
Hello - I spent a long time getting the front brake to bleed properly and in the end went for the same solution as John for the same reasons -PTFE tape to stop leakage around the bleed nipple. This coupled with with a modern suction brake bleeder and the improvement is considerable.
