Re: 1989 F reg Kanguro [now with NEW pics!]
Unfortunately not. Julian bought one with an MOT etc nearer to his home down south. I guess that shipping to Oz is also a trip too far

Re: 1989 F reg Kanguro [now with NEW pics!]
How much are you after.? Well, the unexpected bill that has caused this sale is for £1500 so thats as good a starting point as any. I've not really any idea of the current market value so hopefully someone here can let me know if that's reasonable or ridiculously optimistic. As I mentioned earlier ...

Re: New to me Strada
Bah! Modern yoof. A.J.Stevens of Wolverhampton. You'll be telling me you've never heard of an AJS 7R 350, 500 'Porcupine' TT race bike or 250 2T (Villiers derived) Stormer 'scrambler' next ;) By the time I had one they were part of AMC (Associated Motor Cycles) with Matchless and Norton. Even you y...

Re: 1989 F reg Kanguro [now with pics!]
The X3 models had square tubes and large tanks. This is frame number 3800 which makes it a very late one from what i can gatherTanshanomi wrote:Wow, for some reason I expected it to have round frame tubes. When did they switch to the square-section cradle?

1989 F reg Kanguro - NOW SOLD
With the onset of a particularly nasty surprise bill I've reluctantly decided to see if my dear old Kanguro is worth selling. It's a late X3 that over the years has had a fair bit spent on it including a new Hagon shock, stainless silencers, and recent new battery. I've probably owned this bike for ...

What happened to Belstaff ?
I thought that it'd be nice to treat my self to a new waxed cotton jacket. I used to have a Belstaff Trialmaster 30+ years ago - I thought nothing of it about 20 years ago when it went in the bin well used and knackered. A new one now on their website is £600    When did they ge...

Re: Kanguro tank bolts
Update: I've been in touch with NLM and as was suggested, they don't have them in stock (and haven't for years apparently).
So now I'm getting out the begging bowl and asking if anyone who has the wherewithal and willingness to help me out by producing a set to let me know.
Many thanks
Rob

Carb setup
Having now got my X3 fired up and working I suspect that it's lack of tickover, except on choke, is due to approximately 8 years or more of sticky old fuel bunging up all the little airways etc in the carbs (it's been about that long since it was regularly used). Come to think of it I doubt that the...

Re: Nothing!
Sorted now. There were a couple of loose wires. Started first prod of the starter - not bad after two years or so since the last start.
