Re: Engine interchangeable

Speaking from experience you can fit the 9 1/2 engine into a corsaro and not really notice the difference. The engine map is the most important difference, the 9 1/2 engine has narrower inlet tracts but the same valves and everything else.

E10 fuel

Does anyone know how compatible the Corsaro will be with E10 unleaded? I'm a bit worried about the plastic tank reacting with the extra ethanol

Re: intermitent starting

Had this a couple of times as well and just switch the ignition (key) off and back on has solved it so I suspect dodgy connection in side the key switch (used to happen on dispatch bikes that were switched on and off 100 times a day)

Re: ethanol and nylon fuel tanks

At present the UK has E5 fuels with 5% ethanol and wouldn't expect too many problems, but this is changing to E10 soon and this may effect things, power will be down and it could lean running depending (but the O2 sensor should avoid that) and yes it could rot the fuel systems. As you say super unle...

Re: Cush Drive

An old ZZR 1100 trick was to shim the rubbers with bits of old plastic drinks bottle apparently it can take up the slack and the rubbers don't compress any further.

Worth a try as it costs nothing and can't do any damage

Re: Srambler-Offered at £6300 on manufacturers webiste

Some are ex-demos but the scrambler is new so I guess just shifting old stock. The factory looks to be a holding operation just to keep things ticking over until the market picks up if the market picks ups. As to ABS or traction control, no sorry but it isn't really a modern 1200 it is six years old...

new offical site

Just to let people know the factory have a new(ish) web site running and are planning to do spares ordering direct on the web site and a clothing range.

They also say they have sold this years production of the Rebellos good news if they can make a go of it!

Re: New clutch needed

i have got a used one see my PM or try Manic motors in Nuremberg they are probably about the best bet for spares at moment unless the factory get their act sorted.

Anyone got a spare engine

Had a little problem with my Corsaro it dropped a valve on the front cylinder, which wrecked the head piston and barrel.

It may have bent the conrod as well (the bottom end hasn't been stripped yet).

If anyone knows of a secondhand engine available can they let me know.

According to NLM they are new ECU and new clocks (apparently the clocks power the sensors for the ECU) I don't know if it is the same for all bikes as later models might not need the same changes. I can't tell you they work because they haven't been fitted yet

New poster

Hello everyone I am a new poster on this board but I have had my Corsaro from new (sept 2006). I am particuarly interested in hearing from anyone who has tried tuning the Corsaro. I know there are down pipes and races around but how well do these work with standard ECUs or do they need race ECUs and...
