Re: MRC beanie

It’s a great suggestion, I’ll put it to the products secretary. He will probably approve as his gran passo is brown.

The link is not working to the Products page.
Told you we needed a new webmaestro!
Have corrected my mistake.

Now, go forth and purchase. It will keep your head lovely and warm and is fully compatible with both sport and strada hairstyles (is that less folically discriminating?) 🤣

Re: how much difference between kanguro and strada engine?

Looks like you've made good progress in identifying what you have. At a guess the Giladroni barrels you have probably came off the kanguro X engine, but there should be no reason why they can't be used on any of them. The later type giladroni barrels of the kokusan engines are visually different to ...

Re: how much difference between kanguro and strada engine?

pfft- a reliable list of changes by date or engine number?!?!?! It's in the same library as the map of rocking horse shit deposits and unicorn blood lakes :) Joking aside though, as a very loose rule of thumb, the K2 (~1983) was the first to get the Giladroni barrels, 160W alternator and the M cam. ...

Re: how much difference between kanguro and strada engine?

BTW is there a simple way to distinguish between a strada and sport engine without looking at the naked pistons? I can drop a camera into the plug hole if needed... A sport engine would originally have had an 'S' stamped on the crankcase below the front barrel on the right hand side But that doesn'...

Re: Corsaro mechanic

There is only one place I would trust with my Corsaro. Ben and Sam at moto hub are fantastic. Not quite in your neck of the woods but worth the effort to use somebody who understands these bikes and what’s more has a good relationship and direct contact with the technical team at the factory means j...

Re: 3 Moors Run 2022- event for classic singles

It sounds like an incredible event and indeed makes me want to buy a tresette just so I could join in! I am told places fill up really quick so I wouldn’t advise on pondering participation for too long… And yes Mike, Russell of phase 1 fame. I agree, motorcycling should be prescribed. My wife’s a ph...

3 Moors Run 2022- event for classic singles

We have received the below from Russell Benney. There's usually a few Morini singles (including Russell's). It sounds like a fabulous event for pre-Lambertini era bikes. Entires usually fill up quickly (strictly limited to 50) . Any questions please contact Russell direct. *** The 3rd Three Moors Ru...

Have you checked the oil level in the starter motor gearbox. How long ago was the bronze gear last inspected?

Re: fuse box lid

There is one NOS one on eBay. Depending on your exact model of bike this may not be the same layout, but fundamentally looks ok (maybe upside down, but hey!) If nothing else you can see what the lid should look like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CEV-Wiring-Junction-Block-Ducati-Moto-Guzzi-Morini-nos-el...

Re: Wanted- thin base gaskets

Thanks for the replies so far. The new base gaskets I have are 1mm, but hoping to source some a little thinner than that (0.5mm probably). May make no perceptible difference but probably do no harm either. There's actually 2 reasons I'm keen to try this. Firstly to get a 2+2 onto a donor cam the bas...
