Re: Strada MK5 Front Spindle washer

Yes, George, it was my post in this section as I lost mine. https://www.morini-riders-club.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7738 Interestingly, there is no washer on the left hand bearing and the rubber shows. Seems strange that one side behind the Speedo drive needs one, but the open side does not...

Instrument covers ...32.01.25

Has anybody a spare instrument cover, 32.01.25, in black, please? If not, a pair of chrome ones. These fit over the rubbers on the earlier models.

Thank you.

Re: 500 electronic ignition

I had problems on Saturday. The bike started but wouldn't rev past 4 or 5k depending on wind direction. Checked the carbs and one float was set to 18mm. Today the bike revved past 8k, pulled from 2.5k in top and started easily. In fact, brush the button and the engine starts, no long cranking sessio...

Re: Spark plugs

Are they facing resistance? Perhaps they should put their thinking caps on and a bright spark could come up with a solution. I'll keep plugging the dealers.

Re: Spark plugs

Well said. I use my local dealer for plugs and other parts. Use 'em or lose 'em.

Re: Speedo converter

Yes, the Molano was a pain, it was hard seeing if you were doing 32 or 36, the differebeing points and a fine.

The Milano speedo is made by Aim and is programmable. There is an app that can be downloaded. The Corsaro has a digital speedo.

Doesn't help the current problem!

Re: Hone strong are these engines

I wouldn’t mind meeting up with you if you don’t mind the bigger Morinis tagging along. Well once it’s back and fixed anyway. The more the merrier, but first I need to be able to rude my bike. Hopefully I'll be getting my leg over shortly. I see you are in Cumbria. I presume somewhere along the A69...

I have a 31/2.

Yes, a meet up would be good. Lots of interesting cafes in Northumberland.

Tried Riiverside at Chollerford? Just along from Sycamore stump.

Re: Hone strong are these engines

Can’t wait to get out on some of the great roads that we have round here, especially upper Teasdale and Weardale Thanks again for your help Great roads, shame about the cafe on Hartside. I prefer the roads around the borders, they are very interesting, although I do like a north south ride to the d...

Re: Wheel bearing tapered washers

Hello George, Yes it does help, thank you. I have installed 2RS bearings (rubber sealed). The bearings that came out looked original, as in metal shielded on the outer sides and bare on the inside which makes sense. I was just wondering why the washers were tapered, maybe it was to keep the washer a...

Wheel bearing tapered washers

Having installed new wheel bearings I forgot which way around the tapered washers went. They must have a use as they are tapered. Do they go inner race in or outer race in? I'm trying to work out their function as the spacers or spindles usually press against the inner part of the race. Thanks. Mike.
