501 project for sale
A Familiar story? and note to readers of A Tutto Gas'. This project is being sold for a friend and sadly he is giving up Morini ownership after a very long time. My friend's plan (best made) was to indulge in restoring this N reg (1974) 31/2 Sport (501). He somehow managed that task with a 500 Morin...

Re: Crankshaft roller bearing conversion
Yes, really good info and will have to consider options with all thats been said. Once it is stripped, possibly next week if I can sneak the time a fuller understanding of what is required will be found. An incidental note one bearing holder allen head has vacated the scene unknown. Never seen this ...

Re: Crankshaft roller bearing conversion
Forgot to ask, where are folks sourcing big end shells etc from these days. I see Mdina Italia are now listing some sizes now.

Re: Crankshaft roller bearing conversion
Thanks guys, I had been considering building up the crank back to a serviceable level but I need to digest the solid information you have given me and most importantly split the cases to mull over the engine contents. So it's probably is best at this stage to look into this route. Much appreciated i...

Crankshaft roller bearing conversion
Help required! After many happy years riding since my last rebuild, (give or take 20 years) the crank in my 501 has developed play with the death nell signs of a leaky seal replaced several times to no avail! The crank was originally refurbished by an engineer with an undersized plain bearing as whe...

Re: Morini turbo 1982
Brianh0_4, I know who has the seat unit though if you are still reading this thread. Not being used but too good to throw, in good nick still. I think my brother bought it from Benji before Weevee's went the way of the four winds...could have been Phil perhaps. I'll have to chase him to see if he ha...

Re: Battery 350 sport 1980
Got an Odessey on my BM trouble you and can say it is excellent but you have the crux of the problem in one. It is expensive on the other hand I have had it for a very long time now probably eight years without a spot of bother. Never got round to even trying to fit one in my Morini. The Odessey is ...

Re: Tresette Sprint
Ah the heady days of buying......I think I paid about £950-£1100 and that was at least 8 years ago for what was basically a bit of a dog with bits to get which I did not realise was tricky to source. Parts hunting and life gets in the way of a rebuild as ever and before you know it its almost a deca...

Re: Tresette Sprint
Hi all, Wish I could locate a morini single for the price Pete pays - he must have the tenacity of a spider. It is true though if you want one you will have to pay what is being asked. Either that get to Italy where they know a fine thing or two about extracting euro's out of your hand and into thei...

Re: Tresette parts on ebay Germany
Pete, Good old reliable flatcap - sounds you'll have company soon on the track with those BSA's and Vincents running rings round our underpowered singles and Vee's. Where's Arthur Farrow with his Vincent when there threatens to be more than one around! Solved the RCD prob though, turns out it was a ...

Re: Tresette parts on ebay Germany
Pete, I have been in the club and out the club more times than I care to mention. Just kept forgetting to renew mostly through sheer forgetfulness, I know several other Morini owners like that, must be working in London and get them back into the club and single handedly raise the circulation of A t...
