Re: Petrol and ethanol
This article from Anglo American Oil, a race fuel supply company, was published in Speedscene the Hillclimb and Sprint Association magazine recently and is the only thing I have seen published from a fuel company regarding ethanol fuels. John do you have a link? Sorry about that, too big to attach ...

Re: Odyssey Battery ( PC680 ) care?
Hi Mark I have Odyssey and MotoBatt glass mat batteries in Bikes and have used Optimate and cheap solar chargers bought from Maplins The glass mat batteries will hold their charge much longer than old type lead acid, so can be left for long periods and still start your bike, they also have more cran...

Re: Just old Battery or Drain?
Here in Africa with the high temperatures battery's don't last, a normal zero maintenance battery lasts about a year max and can fail without warning, I have had to bump start a bike on a ride out after stopping for a break. I have since used Hawker Odyssey which though costly has now been in use 4 ...

Hi 72degrees,72degrees wrote:I'll probably go. Looking at the forecast I'd guess on Saturday. Even then I may not use a bike as I may be shopping for bulky items.
That sounds as if a serious project is in hand

Re: 1985 Moto Morini 501 Camel - For Sale
Hi Steve,
I would recommend the Hagon shock, just bought and fitted one to a Gilera RC600 that sneaked into my bike house, the shock is nicely made and finished with (on an RC adjustment for sag and damping) I have 2 other Gilera's keeping the Morini and XR company.

...and that enthusiast is me! :D Bike on it's way south as I type, excited already by the prospect of another 'new' bike! Hi Steve your garage was crowded when I saw it with the Matchbox, Scott, at least 2 Morini's and l think something else lurking under a sheet, with the new Camel you're going to...

Hi Paul,
I liked your introduction - that line must go down well at an interview at least if you get problems with your bike your list of mates should be able to sort you out.
Look forward to reading more of your escapades

Hi 72,
"Off the clock" it sounds like you were being a naughty boy and expeeding the seed limit, losing the exhaust half rings is the newly introduced penalty
Wire the lock rings racer style

Re: clutch spring tool
Hi Simon,
Make a tool like a large slotted screwdriver, easy peasy
If you want to remove the drum you need another tool to hold the clutch drum to allow you to loose the center nut also make-able if you have a workshop
