Re: Wanted - 350 Ignition Full Set Pickup, Rotor & 2x Transd
Hi Julian, Sorry 2020 been a bit hellish so far (thats excluding covid), lost my Dad in March and then at the end of that month have had back problems, still ongoing. Still trying to get sorted. It is still high up on the list but more likely a winter project now. Also added my late fathers BMW R25/...

Re: Wanted - 350 Ignition Full Set Pickup, Rotor & 2x Transd
Hi All, I have taken the plunge and purchased the SWF ignition. Ordered and received within 2 days very impressed. Build quality looks very good. I was swayed by the price and the build quality of the components , particularly the pickup rotor. Also looks easy to fit and setup. Comes with coils and ...

Re: Wanted - 350 Ignition Full Set Pickup, Rotor & 2x Transd
Hi All, Many thanks for all your suggestions, I think the best route is due to the awful build quality of the rotor on the NLM and the fact I have tried to improve the timing by adjusting the pickups I might take up 72degrees tip to replace just the pickup and rotor with an original one and test fro...

Re: Wanted - 350 Ignition Full Set Pickup, Rotor & 2x Transd
Hi Steve, Thanks for the suggestions thats really useful. I saw mention of the SWF system that looks good. I will ponder the options, the sachse appears to look the most professional of the addon offerings. I always wanted to avoid reliance on the battery but I will weigh up the pros and cons. The S...

Re: Project Kanguro Supermoto!
Hi Julian, Glad the pics worked and are useful. I did most of that work back in 2006-2007 during the main build. I was fortunate to speak to veteran of Kanguros now sadly deceased Ken 'ner-a-car'. He famously rode one of the first imported Kanguros and there is a famous picture (I will sort out a co...

Re: Project Kanguro Supermoto!
Hi Julian, Yes working on getting the pics working, good tip for testing. Regarding frame fractures very common on the X1 Kanguro not sure which one you have, mine had fractures on both sides just below the pillion plate, when cornering I used to hear a grating sound this was the frame gap opening a...

Re: Project Kanguro Supermoto!
Hi Julian, Yes photobucket changed their business model over the years and my piccies have gone. Tried with google pics this time. I still have the bike, shed built, needs some work on the ignition. Planning to move back from NLM ignition to original morini ignition when I can get hold of a working ...

Re: Due e Mezzo Article
Hi,
Regarding the 'modified, err..., thingy?' or 'Kangurenstein' , I always preferred KanguroMoto is still alive and well, I did not sell it in the end. Running even better now I have replaced the DellOrto's with Indian built CV Mikuni's.

Re: Cadwell 2013 Video
Hi, Mark yes cadwell is great, I was amazed how smooth the surface felt ie little or no bumps. more video to follow. Chris, apologies are not in order, as I said there was plenty of space and I think we were pretty safe, I saw your wave at the time out the corner of my visor as I was accelerating, t...

Re: Cadwell 2013 Video
Yes standard Kanguro 350 engine, thats about all that is standard on the bike. I really enjoyed my first track day, cadwell is a great track very smooth and flowing with plenty of room. Initially I was a bit taken aback how close the bikes were on overtakes then after a few laps you get used to it. ...
