Re: Exhaust headers

I cleaned my front down pipe first with a green scouring pad then 800 wet and dry and finished off with Solvo Autosol (old favorite) The technique for polishing is to use strips of material wrapped once around the pipe and then you just pull it bacb and forward. My down pipe is noticeably shiney and...

Re: Another GP for sale

As much as I would love another Corsaro the pain in my back would not compensate for the joy of riding one. I cannot SIT on a bike with clip on handlebars that is why I went for the upright riding position of a Granpasso. Unfortunatly the magic just was not there for me or my nearest and dearest.

Another GP for sale

I am seriously thinking of selling my 2009 silver grey Granpasso. Why? Before this I had a Corsaro and I loved it but at six foot three with arthritus in my spine it was magic for twenty miles, fun for the next twenty and shere hell for the last twenty miles home. Logical conclusion sell it and buy ...

On the Granpasso there are 4 relays under the seat. Firstly can anyone tell me what each one does? I know the five pin one controls the headlights but what do the other three control. Secondly I went on to the Bosch web site looking for relays and now im totally confused. They list " make relay...

Engine starting

Got the bike out of the garage last night after two weeks. Bike fired up as normal and I rode 8 miles to the fuel station for some 4star. Came back to the bike and it laboured to turn over the engine and after four goes refused to turn over the engine at all. After fifteen minutes I located a set of...

Indicators

Just been on the new Morini website where you can choose your new Granpasso. I noticed that the indicators on display were solid amber! My 09 GP has clear indicators with amber bulbs and are totally pathetic. Has anyone swapped over to the amber indicators and if so how much and where did you get th...

Super unleaded fuel

My Gran Passo does the usual stalling thing at random times. Filled it up this week with super unleaded and this last two runs it has not stalled once. In these hard times the extra cost for me is about 5p per litre or put it another way the same cost as diesel. If the bike continues to behave itsel...

Fuel reserve light

Been out and about lately enjoying this Spring weather and ive become accustomed to the bike. From a full tank of fuel it only takes about 120 miles untill the fuel warning light comes on but the strange thing is it only takes 12 liters or so of fuel to fill it back up! Have I really got 10 liters i...

Re: Electrics

Problem solved !!!! If you look at the right hand side of the bike (rear brake lever side) the wiring harness follows the line of the frame. Look closely and you might see what was my problem. The wires run inside a plastic tube made up of several sections with various leads coming out of it along i...

Electrics

Two questions for you to ponder. First where is the indicator flasher unit located on a Gran Passo? I thought I was being clever by buying 16 watt bulbs the standard ones are 11 watts but they simply refuse to flash, back to the drawing board. Second query is more difficult. Some time ago I reported...

Re: Engine not firing

PROBLEM SOLVED. It was a relay!!! Dammed tricky things these relays with a simple test you can hear them click and pronounce them good and move on to the next area of inspection. After removing the fuel tank to gain access to ALL the connectors in the wiring loom we discovered two connector blocks t...

Re: Engine not firing

Checked side stand switch it was a bit grundgy, no joy. Checked starter button/kill button,no joy. Checked as many connector blocks as I could,no joy. When you switch it on there is no sound of fuel pumps doing their thing but there is still no error showing on the dash or maybe I just cant get it t...
