Apologies Mike - just seen your earlier post regarding replacing microswitch. Cheers.

Re: The rubber on the dash button has deteriorated

Greetings Mike - nice to see someone has split the blessed thing. Where did you go for a new microswitch? What fixing did you use to place the remote switch? I was looking into this some time ago but other things got in the way.

Baffles & Performance

Here's an easy one for someone -- I've only known the Veloce without Termi baffles, and it really is making me go deaf. What is the performance effect of putting the baffles and standard ECU in? If it's too drastic, maybe I just can't do it! Any general impressions anyone??

OUR HEADS ARE IN THE SAND

Have YOU written to your MEP???????? Look up MAG at http://www.mag-uk.org/en/newsdetail/a6836 for how to write. BIKERS HAVE ALWAYS HAD ENEMIES . They seem to have formed a club called the European Parliament. Current proposals (March 2011) include: 1. COMPULSORY ABS (no, you won't be allowed to swit...

Re: custom made re-useable oil filter now available $85

Hmmmm!! :? So is this where we are now? -- If paper filters are available, our only reason to chase up the custom made filter option is to get better value for money, not to ensure availability. So it all depends on an individual's: 1. Miles per year 2. Likely time to keep the bike 3. Perception of ...

Re: custom made re-useable oil filter now available $85

Think how much a ford car would now cost if the pricing had been done with an original expectation of selling just ONE . Is there really no sense at all in organising a batch quotation? - maybe even via 3X acting as wholesaler? OK, if its so very daft I won't mention it (yet) again! Anyway, the sun ...

oil

If only it were easier to look past the marketed image. Agip is recommended by MM for the Corsaro. 3X uses Silkolene (posh image; not cheap - and neither is the coolant!) In the case of strokers my local bike shop says Silkolene burns sooty, whereas Rock Oil burns cleanly. OK, that's just strokers, ...

Re: custom made oil filter?

I would buy one. Assuming results of Twisty's investigation continue positive, Is there mileage in costing and then organising a combined order, assuming it might keep the development cost per person down right from the start? To cost it, we would need to get provisional orders from people and then ...

Re: Latest factory news

Further to a point already made in this thread, I just wonder what it would take to give the MM website a few decent pictures and words. It wouldn't have to be interactive with bells and whistles, just something to celebrate what has been achieved and what might one day live again. Thinking off the ...

Re: Eyes Wide Open

When thinking of buying, there's that "would I then ever be able to sell?" question at the back of the mind. OK we will all keep them for ever - but it might be interesting to know the Corsaros are much sought after (I am told by dealer) in Germany. Well, they always were petrol heads.

TANK PAINT

Small thing, but in case it is useful - I was talking to Dream Machine the other day and they recommended girlfriend's nail varnish applied at edges of flaked-off paint under the tank, so as to protect against further peeling. Actually, on that subject, heat seems to be the cause of a giant paint bl...
