Re: left hand gearchange conversions

Most later off road Morinis and the K2 have left side gear levers, yet the method/linkages are all different
Have a look at the parts books
Might be more complex if you want to use rear sets?

Re: Starter motor chain snapped

Post cam belt change, time ignition and balance/tune carbs then repeat after a couple of hundred miles
A pain yet it can really improve starting

Re: idiot lights

Hi, the 478 engine can have an oil pressure switch on the front lower clutch/primary drive cover and on the Morini 500 it's linked to a red telltale/idiot light. So first check if there is a pressure switch wired to the red light of your hybrid Morini Early 350s have different wiring to the 500 espe...

Re: Strada top yoke and rear sets.

Hi Norbert, at the Marches Moto Italia day there was an early drum brake Strada with a Paioli top and Marzocchi bottom yokes
Laverda 500 Marzocchi and DKW/HerculesW2000 Ceriani yokes also have the same geometry and there are probably many more possibilities?

Have fun, Ian

Re: Oil leak through clutch cover

It can leak from either seal or between the shaft and the clutch gear sleeve As it's a dry clutch take the cover off and you might see where it's weeping; from the centre/behind the basket If the clutch isn't slipping and it's only a weep you could just relax for now then fix it over the winter It's...

Re: Leaking Clutch Oil Seal

I've always removed the whole primary casing On a BMW bevel drive box I once replaced a large seal by punching two holes in the seal with a hardened/sharp nail, then screwed in self tapping screws and easily removed the seal with two pairs of pliers. It's important to punch rather drill the holes. M...

Re: Kickstarting Problem

Clutch slip on kick starting will be familiar to many BSA unit single owners again not a problem once running Best to check the clutch adjustment, plate thick/trueness, plate order, spring tension etc Not a design fault as in the BSA so it shouldn't be difficult to fix? I'm guessing it is a 5 speed ...
