Re: '79 3 1/2 Sport for sale

Hi Duncan. Is yours yellow? If it is I saw it in Tank Square car park, Ulverston a few years ago. I did think about higher bars but have decided to get something more upright and newer. My Missus used to go on the back of my old bikes bur the Sport is a little small I find. The indicators I would ra...

Re: Swan neck lift clip ons.

Tarozzi made clip ons in different heights. The tallest raise the bars about 72mm from their standard set. I think NLM used to sell them you would have to ring and find out if they still do. http://www.discovolantemoto.co.uk have them on their site at £108. Not sure if you would need longer cables o...

Re: '79 3 1/2 Sport for sale

The bike was electric start when new. It had been removed when I bought it.
I think the indicators are better than the enormous originals, which I still have. Didn't want to do without.
Going to put an advert in Classic Bike Mechanics as suggested, especially as it's free.

'79 3 1/2 Sport for sale

I'm looking at selling my '79 3 1/2 Sport which I purchased from NLM 4 years ago. I'm struggling with the riding position due to back problems and am thinking of getting a more modern bike with a more comfortable upright position. The bike is in a good used condition, not concours. It was MOT'd a fe...

Brale M/C seals

Just bought a seal kit for the standard 16mm Grimeca front brake M/C. The new seal that fits nearest the spring has an open side and a closed side does it matter which way round it goes?

Re: Refitting the swing arm

Can you push the spindle all the way through on its own without the swingarm? After having new bushes fitted in my swinging arm I had the same problem. I loosened the two plates on the frame which push against the inner swing arm bushes until the spindle went in easy and tightened ok. The arm fitted...

Re: New Member

Hi Paul, and welcome. I'm pretty new to this Morini lark as well, well about 9 months or so. I had a similar problem when I first fitted the Tarozzi rearsets. After about 20 miles my gear shift would get very stiff (ooh err missus!) I would get home remove it put it back, would work great, and then ...

Re: No spark - No go

Finally got the bike sorted thanks to Alex and Stewert at NLM. It looks as if a problem with the ignition switch fried the whole ignition system, stator, pickup and transducers. There should have been a diode fitted to stop this but there wasn't one on my bike so Alex fitted one to prevent it happen...

Re: No spark - No go

Thanks for the info Paul. Disconnected the green wires from kill switch and ignition. Still no spark. Meter connected to the pickup red wires gave a reading of ~600ohms with leads connected one way nothing the other. Green wire from alternator gave a reading of about 4v kicked over. Not in the teens...
