Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself
Welcome. Best advice from me is to drain both oil and petrol, renew the cam belt and investigate the lack of spark before spending on an expensive new system - the OE ignition is fine when working but can be disabled by a faulty earth, a degraded source coil, or other well-documented problems.

Re: Importing vehicle and making a NOVA declaration
I would broadly agree with Mickey, especially under the new régime where UK borders are now tightly controlled ( ). Any bike on a trailer must surely be checked when it turns up at the Customs Booth?
I would class the government as an AND gate, in that they both make AND break the rules.

Re: Plans go up in smoke and other electrical gremlins
As far as the regulator goes, I'm sure there are many suitable ones. Speaking personally, I had a Strada which ran well for many years using a Boyer 'Power Box. Easy to fit, just connect the two yellow leads from the generator to the box inputs, tie back and insulate the red generator lead, then the...

...Bantams are great workhorses. Shame about the brakes. Brakes? There are brakes? Nice D3? or D5? there. And your house looks grand too! ... Thanks, its a 1956 D3 Major, the house is just one of the many 'Belles Demeures' around here - but imagine the upkeep! BTW, I don't know what carb is fitted ...

Re: My New Corsaro...
...Have you really got a Bantam out in France? I have indeed. 'Found ' some years back towards the east of France. I think it had spent most of its life in the local vinyards, judging from the baked on oil and sand mix which covered the engine. A broken Reynolds chain put it out of service, when no...

You could try Talon Engineering. I have used them for a different make.

Re: Heated grips?
I don't know how much power they need, but I have had Oxford heated grips on a Yamaha YBR 250 for years. They are very effective when used. If you squeeze the biggest capacity battery you can into the battery box, maybe that would provide enough charge for lights and grips, with a recharge overnight...

Re: Camel Mk 2 fork oil
This is copied from the Marzocchi fork overhaul manual (on a Ducati site, I think), if it is any use. Precise weights / volumes depend on rider weight, usage and preferences. I have normally used ATF oil for the last 40 years - around 10W I think.

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK
...'If the advance goes the wrong way around then probably just like the on the 3.5 and 500/501 there is a wrong mix of pick up and transducer'... Yes - but as I understand it, your 125H does not have a pick up similar to those on the twins. It still (to me) points to a possible problem with the tr...

Re: 125H problems
Just a couple of points. If the rotor and stator have been in position from build, there should not be a ’leak’ of magnetism. As Paul C says, the cdi units do nothing other than produce a spark. The circuit internals are shown on a cct diagram on the Dutcb site and can be built with some moderate so...

Oops.
OK, notwithstanding the risk of being wrong again, I just came across this link to a French site with a possible (if fairly drastic) option. https://www.kennedy.fr/morini_125h.htm

Re: 125H problems
Don't forget that the markings on the rotor are in Italian. So PMS = punto morto superiore = Top Dead Centre. ANT = anterior = front (for the twins). And that Ignition in Italian = accensione. So your "A" mark is the ignition timing point. Also, on early V twins, the PMS reference mark is ...
