Re: Exhaust Pipe Tuned Length
Thanks guys. Yes i do have the drawing George, The header is quite short at 570mm but easily made so i will give it a try, i did cut my silencer down to roughly the same dimensions as the drawing but left i bit in the middle, as Chris at Nlm had mentioned they like a bit of back pressure? Must admit...

Exhaust Pipe Tuned Length
Has anyone got any tips on exhaust header pipe lengths for morini 350/400 mildly tuned engines. Some people say its a must to have equal lengths and they go much better, One thing that puzzles me, certain people go on about how much thought went in to the complete package on these bikes, So why do's...

Re: Bigger Carbs For 400 Conversion?
I think your right Muller. But i was hoping for more input i have to say, pretty disappointed with the armchair tuners! Went for a run on it yesterday with the 400 pistons in, feels ok, obviously still a bit tight, need to get some miles on it tomorrow, got a big race at the weekend, still feels lik...

Re: Bigger Carbs For 400 Conversion?
The guy on the R1 is the one to watch, He comes up from the south of france for the event, He is an ex stunt rider and watching him come out of the corners sideways and then wheelie over the line is pretty good!

Re: Bigger Carbs For 400 Conversion?
Thanks for the input guys, I have been told several times by wise old flattrackers that gearing is one of the most important things to get right, acceleration out of the corners is definitely more of a priority than top speed, so i will look for some 26mm's to start with. Im fast running out of time...

Bigger Carbs For 400 Conversion?

Kukosan Advance Curve
Has anyone got evidence that the Kukosan ignition has not got as good an advance curve as the Ducati system, I've seen it mentioned but not seen any hard proof as of yet. I no about the mod for the flywheel, which sorts the bottom end out, but im more concerned about midrange acceleration . Also, do...

Cracked Head.
I have just taken 2 motors apart for inspection, a 350s and a 507 new york. i have a crack between the valves on one of each, The question is, are the seats prone to falling out, or are they ok if left alone. Triumph 500's have a similar problem and im told to just leave them as is.

Re: Big Bore
I forgot to mention that i will be eventually comparing both engines to see which one i favor in on track comparisons, and then keeping one of them as a backup. If anyone has any 500/507 heads and a race proven 2 into one exhaust also looking for sporty cams for sale i would be very interested to he...

Big Bore
I have an 81 350s that i threw together for the first race meeting on the new Greenfield Dirttrack oval 2 weeks ago, It went ok with one heat win and 4th overall on the day, I was disappointed with the acceleration out of the corners, so i investigated, I found the compression down to only 80psi on ...
