Buying a 1200 thread

Gents, a new fella called Mike is seeking information under the "Buying a 1200" thread, elsewhere on the forum. He's concerned by the camchain issues that are well reported. Nicko & I have already responded, but can any Corsaro owners out there advise of the mileage of their bikes &...

Re: Buying a 1200

Hi Mike Welcome to the forum & congratulations on showing your good taste in considering a Corsaro. I've put 4500 miles on my 2006 model which has taken it up to 13500 in total. So far, so good! In this months Sport & Leisure, Alan Cathcart tests the updated ZZ model. He already owns (& ...

Re: Swing arm bearing upgrade

Hi Joe Thanks for your thoughts on this. I've yet to pull the swing arm pivot out of the bike, but have heard that these seem to wear as much as the bushes themselves. I'm unsure if NLM offer the spindle & if so at what cost? I hope to get a bit of time on the bike tomorrow & I'll then be a ...

Swing arm bearing upgrade

Hi all Any advice on the best type of replacement swing arm bearings for a 500? Needle roller or PTFE? Best source? Also, will a 350 swing arm fit the 500? I think they are shorter & I was thinking they might quicken up the steering a bit, but does the top shock mount position allow for this ? A...

Re: Corsaro ZZ test

It's a great review from an existing Corsaro owner. Sir Al clearly "gets it" where the Corsaro is concerned. Gawd only knows why the bike hasn't garnered much more of a following elsewhere over the years? A test like that should help it's cause though... if the bike gets good local dealer ...

Re: Fan fault on 2006 Corsaro

Well, that's me back on the road with a new LH fan fitted. A broken wire was the culprit. Wonderful to have " Captain Jack" (blame my nearest & dearest!), back on the road & what a bike he is! Thanks to you all for your valued comments.

Hi Eddy

Many thanks for this. I'm away from the bike for a spell but will give it a go on my return.

Cheers

Hi Eddy

How did you strip your fan motor down please? Mine is riveted over on the shaft?

Cheers

Re: Fan fault on 2006 Corsaro

Hi all I'm not much further on with the fan faults. Can anyone help me out with a wiring diagram for a 2006 Corsaro please? I've seen some links on a previous thread but they all seem to terminate into German language, or dead ends. Any help would be appreciated. For whatever reason, I cannot access...

Re: Fan fault on 2006 Corsaro

Well..the fans are certainly running free. I've got some leads coming tomorrow to check they spin up ok, but I'm not expecting any issues there. Once the new relays arrive I'll check the current to the fans at the operating point, which is 95 on mine. It's a bit of a mystery is this one !

Re: Fan fault on 2006 Corsaro..relays killed.

Hi all

Well, I swopped the relay & got my fans working instantly...for a while. Today, it blew the new relay & a further one swopped on the bike. I'm a bit stumped. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the fan relay to fail please?

Many thanks

Re: Fan fault on 2006 Corsaro

Gents What it is to be in such great company! Many thanks for the information & experience. I feel fortunate that this happened in the last 20 miles of a 200 mile run. Keeping that wonderful engine cool enough, while riding through Burton during rush hour was a bit of a challenge on Monday thoug...
