Re: Kanguro X, what battery?

A Boyer Brandsen Powerbox is the solution on my Kanguro X and provides 12v electrics. The manufacturer's link is http://www.boyerbransden.com/pdf/Power_Box_Leaflet.pdf. I'll have a look tomorrow at the battery type and see if I can put a picture up. It's a neat setup.

Re: Wanted - Kanguro X or X1 tank.

Hi, I've got a Kanguro X tank which might suit. It's got a bit of wear/damage around the mounts but if it did need repair it doesn't seem beyond repair. Apart from that it's in nice undented condition with original paintwork.

Re: Checking fuel flow

Manual taps are generally ON after the first quarter turn and RESERVE is beyond that after the next quarter turn. Makes ergonomic sense that way, and so it is on the manual taps on my Kanguro. Can be tested by tilting tank (or even bike!) with the pipe off ....

Re: Which Kanguro?

Hi, I've an X1 Kanguro, and while the seat is significantly higher off the ground than my old Strada, I'm not sure that the distance from seat to footrest is any greater. If anything I'd say it feels less, but the biggest difference is in the much more upright riding position. I suggest you ride aro...

Re: Plain bearing failure

Paul that's really helpful and I'll see what the micrometer says. The bigends move freely and have no discernible play except for a lateral movement of about half a millimetre from side to side on the crank. What I find confusing is that if there was insufficient lubrication it would result in such ...

Plain bearing failure

I've got an engine that I was told had failed shortly after being rebuilt. Taking it apart clearly something about the plain bearing has failed but I'm not sure what or more importantly quite what is salvageable. I've pictured the bushing in the crankcase, the crankshaft, and a ring that went over t...

1978 Strada rolling chassis (most of)

Hi - I've most of a 350 Strada that I'd like to dispose of in one lump as i don't really have the time and space to dismantle into parts. To cut a long story short it was cosmetically damaged in a garage fire while not insured :( While it ran fine it would have needed more time and money than I had ...
