Welcome Andy!! Don't go too mad about taking things apart - get riding and appreciate the bike then mould it to your own preferences (once all this lock down stuff is over). It would be interesting to see if that is the case. Looking at the Guzzi parts there were chromed indicators that had black stems - perhaps Morini/Cagiva used the same suppliers.

I appreciate that. If you do have one I'll nab it off you. I have found a couple on ebay for a reasonable price but they are based on the part number Charlie provided so they may not be the same so a bonafide kanguro one would be ideal.

One of the indicators on my X3 has succumbed to rubber rot so if anyone has an indicator with broken lens/reflector/body but the rubber is sound I would be interested.

Yes, there is an o ring on the inside of the casing. To replace it the clutch side cover has to come off - doable with the engine in the frame but I'd put up with the dribble of oil - be assured it won't turn into a flood!!
