Silicon and carbs

Please! NEVER use silicon sealant on carburettors, or anywhere else that comes into contact with petrol. Petrol will attack it, little bits then break off and either block up your jets or have an amazing tendency to find their way into the small drillings within the carb body, or both. Use new o-rin...

Anyone out there recognise BKP 489T?

Hi All, Went and picked up an ebay'd Strada last night that I am/was hoping to use as a source of spares. Having got it, I find from the chassis number (A/3 13350), it is only 26 bikes newer than my '78 Sport! (A/3 13324) The bike is complete with the exception of the chainguard, and is a bit on the...

Welding

In the past all I have done on bikes when welding is to remove the battery from the bike. Have never had any problems with other electrical stuff.

New atomisers, needles and slides failed to help. ...

350 Carburettors

Hi All, My 350 Sport has done 92000 miles from new, and despite new slides, I have come to the conclusion that the carb bodies are worn out. I have some 350 Dart carbs (VHBZ25HS) and wonder if anyone has any experience of using them on a 350 Sport (originally VHBZ25BS). On the face of it, both are n...

Hi all, Have been viewing this site on and off for a while, and decided to sign up to keep in touch with all things Morini. I have a 31/2 Sport, that I have owned from new, that I bought in June 1978, and it now has 92,000 miles on it. It is a cast wheel, non electric start model. It has been all ar...
