Kamel,
That's wonderful, I've never seen anything like this cover before. I've ordered one and will then see if I can work out how to remove my current cover without damaging it (knowing I've a replacement if needed).

Re: Measuring the Engine Oil Pressure
Mike, thanks for the tip. AFAIK the oil seal should be fine, but it'll be worth investigating again if I find the oil pressure drops when I ride the bike with hot engine oil. FYI the engine was rebuilt by Benjy and I've ridden it for about 3000 miles post rebuild. He replaced the crankshaft, the mai...

Re: Bogging down/ rough running problem
Matt, I had a similar behaviour on my Kanguro X, but not as extreme as you've had. Mine would eventually 'clear' and rev out particularly if I let it build the revs gently. The exhaust was very sooty, and so on. And if I rode it at slow speed for a while (as I had to at an event in late June then th...

Measuring the Engine Oil Pressure
As part of a long running saga where the oil pressure light came on from time to time on my 501 New York I ended up first swapping the oil pressure switch twice and then doing a bunch of other things to try and make sense of what was happening and whether my engine was stressed and losing oil pressu...

Re: Busbar- 350 sport front connector box?
Matt, I think Steve Brown may well have some old ones he'll let you have for a song (or a couple of quid). I don't think they have the coloured dots on them anymore though. As others have suggested it might be better to buy new terminal blades for your one, if you can find suitable ones. Something l...

Re: Fitting longer shocks
I'd recommend buying YSS shocks, possibly those listed for R45 would work as well for you as they suit my New York (see http://www.morini-riders-club.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7065 for details). They're softly sprung for the New York where the rear suspension is more angled than on the 500 ...

Pete,
I'm interested, I'll email you. I was toying with buying it at the time.

Re: How can the steering lock be removed undamaged?
This is a broadly similar lock http://w6rec.com/duane/bmw/lock/index.htm John, I agree it's broadly similar however the way the Kanguro lock is held in differs significantly. FWIW I successfully removed steering locks from other Moto Morinis and documented the process here http://www.morini-riders-...

How can the steering lock be removed undamaged?
I'd like to remove my Kanguro's steering lock, ideally without destroying whatever's holding it in place as I doubt I can obtain replacements. The bike's an X (or X0 if you prefer) i.e. with a front drum brake. I don't have a key for it. I've attached a photo of it FYI. Advice welcome. Bonus points ...

Re: 3 1/2 FOR SALE
For anyone interested in the bike, here's a link to the advert https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/570634804542926/ I've seen this bike (or at least one very similar) for sale several times over the last few years. If it's the one I remember it was sold by NLM several years ago before they clo...

Re: Anyone in Straya looking for a 3½ Sport?
Just out of idle interest and for comparison, what are the prices? 12,000 NZD + 15% buyer's premium for a 1975 Moto Morini 3 1/2 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/classic-vintage/moto-morini/listing/3683286157?rsqid=6d57e53b047d4267bc36d1de1335b5b2-001 and that's the lower bo...

Re: Anyone got one?
Thats all my RS cost, not too many years ago. Big K series are hard to sell. I am determined to get a test ride on an Xcape before long. Just checking, was it a K100RS? or an R100RS as you'd previously posted? Anyway, I'd be tempted to have a K100RS at some point if only I had much more garage spac...

Suitable replacement rear shock absorbers for New Yorks and Excaliburs
In case anyone else ever needs this information apart from me, I can recommend a pair of YSS eco line classic shocks. The model I bought is the RE302-320T-05S-88 and they're a mid-range quality and more finely adjustable than the originals. They're also slightly lighter (no I didn't weigh them to ge...
