Well I found some SAE blocks that are very close to diameter. I think the stock blocks are 25.5 or 1"(25.4). I might need some shim stock to fit. I'll update the post.

Re: 1974 Strada Front Brake and Clutch levers
Are you asking about the brake lever switch? I might have a picture of it somewhere as mine is dismantled right now.

Re: Strada wheel rebuild
Its actually really easy if you do the heads out spokes first. I've never had much luck doing them all at once. If I do heads in first there isnt room to drop in the heads out and pull them through. Its also a tremendous help if your polisher or hub finisher leaves the old spoke indentions in place ...

Re: Kink frame
Hendre, I dont have a title and i'm in the states. The bike was bought as a parts bike with a decent motor that turned over w 70psi. I think a friend of mine has a spare frame. If not there is one on ebay. I'm not sure the frame plate would help you without any kind of title. Its funny, I think this...

Re: Strada wheel rebuild
Thought i'd post a follow up with progress. I laced up the rear hub the other night and its really looking good. IDK what it is about polished aluminum rims and fresh spokes. Really seems to get me moving. I need to finish truing it tonight. The wheel is a bit too wide to fit on my bike truing stand...

Strada Hbar Silent Block bushings
Ok my latest challenge on my old Strada is the HBar P clamp and silent block. Upon removal, one pclamp popped right out of its silent block, and one seized in place. I will never buy another bike from Ohio!! Seems the ID sleeve of the silentblock welded itself to the Pclamp shaft. I'll have to press...

Re: Kink frame
If the engine plates look like this; http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/m/mSwpJHy8pp-XCXemD0-_r3A/140.jpg Then it's a kink frame. Paul, i'll have a look tonight. I cant remember if they match up but my front plates are bizarre. There is a secondary plate on the bottom of the front plates to connect the ...

Re: Kink frame
What does the kink look like? I have a strada at home with a top tube that looks different that my early strada. I was thinking my frame was bent although there are no other signs of a bent frame(like bent gussets).

3 & 1/2 new carbs
Ugh, I have a cuple old 3 & 1/2s i'm trying to get on the road with really sad original carbs. Both bikes sat for decades. I'm really tempted to buy some phb's or other modern carbs. Is anyone running PHB's or other? I hate trying to solve phantom carb problems, they always seem to point to igni...

Steering head/bearing cup inquiry
I'm never sure what to call these. In bicycle terms they are headset bearing cups. The morini parts manual calls them cap and cone. They hold the loose ball bearings around the triple tree stem. Mine are pitted after cleaning lots of rust off. They look to be hardened steel that was chrome plated. W...

Re: Correct light switches for early strada
Ok is it the screw mount or clamp mount? What does the second switch do? Turn signals...? I'm also missing the twist grip. Are there switches on the right side as well?Brett wrote:Yes they are CEV 169 switches and guzzino.com sell them
