Re: comments on 1960 Trestte Sprint Please
Thanks for the comments Pete The tank does have two fuel taps. I will try to find out the engine number I found some info on the internet that suggested that the late Sprints had frame numbers beginning with G but I can't verify that. Bike is coming up for auction. hard to put a value on it here in ...

Hello there there is a nice 1960 Tresette Sprint in Sydney. Would be interested in comments as to whether it is a genuine Sprint and if it has all the correct bits. It is a stunning little bike. Re: Setting up the double sided front drum
Thanks for the helpful suggestions as usual. I finally got some time to remove the front wheel. The shoes look almost new and had not been chamfered on any edge, so I chamfered all of them with a file. I cleaned and lubricated the cam and the cables and splitter box. I set the brake up by increasing...

Setting up the double sided front drum
I have checked the archives and cannot find any instructions or tips on setting up the front drum on my 1974 Sport. I have not ridden a bike with a front drum since the Honda H100 I learned on in 1984, and the front brake on my Sport is not confidence inspiring......initially there is little force b...

Re: High idling-throttle cable problem????
Sorry for confusing everyone my concern I had wrong carbs and incorrect slide orientation was a load of codswallop......brain seizure. I have now very carefully cut back cable outers with my Dremel and have achieved 3mm slack at cable adjusters. I also checked the float height and discovered it was ...

Re: High idling-throttle cable problem????
Removed carbs to clean and rebuild and astonished to discover I have 2 x VHB25BS Surely I should have one VHB25BS (Sinistra = left) and one VHB25BD (Destra = right). The S carb mounted to the forward or left cylinder appears to have the slide reversed so the carb could be fitted with the fuel banjos...

High idling-throttle cable problem????
I have now done nearly 1000km on the 1974 DD 3.5 I bought just before Christmas and loving it now I have fixed the clutch and installed a new cam belt. Next issue is the very high idle 2500-3000rpm. The front LH carb has about 3-4mm free play at the throttle cable although the adjuster is screwed ri...

Re: Marzocchi Shock absorbers
I think I shall look for a used set of Konis, they seem to sell for about same price as a new set of Hagons. Irons are now made in Australia where I live so rebuild kits easily available

Re: Just bought a 1974 Sport
Just completed test ride. Bike is transformed. Nice progressive clutch, easy selection of neutral even from standstill. Nice easy pressure required in gear overs. Very pleased thanks very much for all the help. I think a combination of cleaning the plates, changing the position of the dished plate a...

I am looking for. Set of OEM Marzocchi shocks for my 1974 3.5 Sport. I'd also be happy with Koni 7610 dial a rides........if they will fit. Currentl...

Re: Just bought a 1974 Sport
Thanks all for all these great suggestions. Paul, your videos are extremely helpful thanks Yesterday I dismantled the clutch. I made the tool from the 14mm flat blade screwdriver as specified in blue book and was very pleased that the five screws on clutch cover loosened very easily. The plates are ...
