Sport hump seat - now sold

New reproduction hump seat as per early sports, pin fitting at the front for sale. I bought this for my sport to replace its ripped original and it is an excellent reproduction, Moto Morini screen printed on the back and made I believe by the same company that made the originals. Little did I know t...

Re: H4 bulbs can I swap for an LED bulb

I didn’t get on at all well with the P43t daylighter LED in my sport (same square headlight as you) and instead swapped it for a Hella HR2 60/55W halogen bulb. The halogen HR2 is very good with a more correct beam pattern and is the correct type of fitting for the reflector. Ok not the power saving ...

Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself

Welcome to the club and to Morini ownership, For the fuel cap seal, I bought some 1.5mm thick Viton sheet from eBay and cut my own to size. Easy job with a pair of scissors and a small drill bit or bradawl to put the centre and breather holes in. The filler cap can be unscrewed to remove and replace...

The best repros of this type of sidepanel I’ve ever seen. Made in steel by a club member in the UK for passion not profit.

Re: number 4 slide for VHB24BS

Can’t help with this myself, but have you tried Eurocarb? I’ve always found them to be most helpful and knowledgeable, and whilst not listing the exact part you want, might be able to advise on an alternative. If you can get a slide with a smaller cutaway than you need, you can always have the cutaw...

Re: MRC Rally and AGM weekend 8-10 September 2023

The club reserved number of rooms in a block booking, for the benefit of our members but not all of them. At ~£170 per room for the weekend it would be an enormous cost to the club if we failed to sell them all. We had everything which wasn’t a double room for our members, knowing that there are rel...

Re: Tre mezzo and 500 section

Agree there are big areas of overlap between the different models (hurrah for our modular bikes!) and so sometimes it hard to know where best to post, and as you say, useful to share common info across multiple models. From a keeping info strictly accurate perspective though, I prefer to keep topics...

Re: Electric fuel tap

Peter has been back in touch and confirmed this is for a 77 strada. So here is my two pennies: Many people replace the electric tap with a manual one as they never were the most reliable thing, and in any case on motorway journeys etc you will probably find you want to use both taps. However, if you...

Re: Electric fuel tap

Hi Peter, Have moved your post to the wanted section. Which model bike is this for (the road bikes have a different electric tap to darts etc) Either way, I don’t know of anyone who refurbishes them, but depending on what’s wrong with yours they can sometimes be coaxed back into a bit more life. Is ...

Re: 500 engine rebuild.

I have a scrap RHS crankcase which could be modified, if somebody has the means and time to do so (can provide photos of what’s required) Years ago the club had a full set of tools we loaned out but these very sadly went walkabouts. If my scrap case becomes a new tool, then I’m happy to be a custodi...

Re: Remanufactured bodywork

Sorry for the delay in replying to this, I’ve been away. YES! There is finally some news- thanks for everybody’s patience. We displayed the prototype panels at the Cadwell trackday and following on from that, we’ve instructed the first batch to be manufactured. There will be more info in ATG More ne...

Re: 500 wanted, to keep my Strada company

There’s a nice looking police 500 on eBay currently. Bidding ends today. I don’t know the bike or the seller but on the face of it it’s a rare model and currently the bids are what I would call cheap, even if it turned out it needed unexpected work. All I hope is that whoever does buy it maintains i...

Early type indicators cracking

Has anyone got a proven way of keeping the early (round bodied) CEV 173 indicators attached to the bike without cracking? If you don’t do them up tight enough they rotate If you do them up too tight they crack If you knock them because of their rigid metal stalks they crack If they were cast metal t...
