Re: Box thing with pipes

My Coguaro also has that box. It looks the same as the one on the 500 sport, where two pipes come from the rocker covers and two go to the air box, one either side into the centre of the round air filters. Presumable a nod towards reducing emissions.... On my Coguaro air box there is no provision fo...

Re: Italian beauty's

Very very nice. I loved those when they first came out, they still look fresh today. Is it a 900 or one of the bigger variations?

Vanvans are fun too - in a different sort of way, we've got one that my wife learned on (she's rides her German bike now though).

Cheers,
Robin

Re: Coguaro questions

Hi John,

Sorry, a couple of more questions if you can help:

Do you run an O ring chain?

What size and make of tyres do you use?
Mine came with Avon Distanzias, the rear is a 120 which I'm wondering might be a tad wide.

Thanks!

Coguaro questions

I recently bought a Coguaro which was pretty much completely dismantled when I got it and I wonder if anyone can help with a couple of questions: What is the fork oil capacity? How many links in the chain? I have 14 front, 46 rear sprockets which I assume are standard - but no chain. I have scoured ...

Re: Insurance newbie can't get covered!

I use Footman James who offer a discount for members of this illustrious club, you'll need your membership number to get it. The policy I have with them just covers my classic bikes which I believe is their specialty, not sure how old your VFR is but they may not want to mix classic & modern bik...

Re: Srambler-Offered at £6300 on manufacturers webiste

Interesting Butch. That's why I'm loathed to change to a different tyre, I can only imagine I'll be disappointed...

One other thing I meant to mention Stridey, this month's Ride magazine as a feature on the new Morinis with esteemed members of this club giving their experiences.

Re: Srambler-Offered at £6300 on manufacturers webiste

Hello Stridey, My previous road bike was a Monster 1000 and the Scrambler is everything the Monster wasn't, it's more comfortable, rides much better over our rough, pot hole riddled roads we have in Wiltshire (I'm near Marlborough by the way), goes 160 miles to reserve, the mirrors work and don't vi...

Re: Srambler-Offered at £6300 on manufacturers webiste

As I read it from the website, they are offering bikes made as demonstrators or display bikes. £6300 is a very good price when you consider the list price was over £10,000 back in 2009. Don't forget you are not having to pay the cuts taken by the importer & dealer. Perhaps a Ducati Streetfighter...

Re: Paint Colour - early 80s red

Thanks or your replies. I realize there was an element of 'flexibility' in that the factory used what they had to hand, much like that other company in Bologna... I did go into my local motor factors with a side panel under my arm and one colour jumped out at me straight away and seems to be a very ...

Paint Colour - early 80s red

Hello,

Does anybody know a colour code or near match for the more orange red of the early eighties bikes where both the body work and frame were painted in this colour? Typically with black and gold pin stripes.

Many thanks,
Robin
