Re: waterpump

I wouldn't say the water pump on my corsaro makes a lot of noise but you certainly know it's there. I asked about this and also the noisy clutch (sounds like a release bearing) at the 6000mile service and was told it was normal. If you're in any doubt then it doesn't look too hard to pop the waterpu...

Relays

Okay let's put this topic to bed once and for all! Took the corsaro for the first ride of the summer and was annoyed when the fans didn't cut in. Makes you realise how effective the fans are- even in the cool april morning air I saw 112 deg on the dash- nervously awaiting the bike to turn itself int...

Re: Lost horsepower

Dave, I've just replied to your battery post, hope that helps a little. On which note... ...Loss of performance- Hard to say without having the bike properly checked over but if you have had the battery off then you might have cleared the adaptions stored in the ECU. I'm not familiar with the strate...

Re: Battery code

Hi Dave, I have an odyssey PC310 (the smallest one) on my Morini Dart. I've just been out to the garage and offered the 310 up to the corsaro. It will fit- actually with a little height to spare... extra tools :) I doubt whether any of the other odyssey batteries will fit. The 310 is about as wide a...

Re: Darts on the road!

Hi Christine, I'm glad that you've discovered what we all know to be true about Morini. Sometimes I wonder if it's just me being delusional about the bike's abilities but then my sanity is restored by comments from Morini newbie's such as yourself! You've also discovered the Dart's dubious fuel ligh...

Re: Loud Exhaust!

I cut a dart silencer open and repacked it once (and removed the baffle which was rattling around inside, but on balance my rework made it quieter) Because the silencer has the two aluminium sleeves you can cut it right in the middle, repack it and then weld it back together without any visible join...

Re: Fuel Octane

First question- where in the world are you? In Europe octane number us quoted in RON. This is what Morini will have specified when they quoted 95. In the US the quoted octane number is normally lower- this isn't because the fuel has a lower knock resistance but because the octane number is quoted as...

Yeah sorry Paul, I've not updated the section meetings page on the website for a while. The latest info on the section meetings can always be found in ATG. The website will be updated in due course as well. While we're on the subject of section meetings, if anybody would like to have a meet locally,...

Re: Stupid Button

Yeah that happened to dad's veloce. He managed to coax the button out but it was tricky! I think you can only enter the menu just after you switch the ignition on and without the engine running otherwise the menu function is locked (can't quite remember what the criteria are, would need to check). I...

Re: tool kit

Make sure you've also got an open ended spanner (11mm I think) and suitable flat headed screwdriver for the clutch arm locknut. It's a real showstopper if that one unwinds. Other than that I think mickeymoto's covered it. I'll be tempting fate here but I hardly ever carry tools on the dart anymore. ...
