I recently had a blown fan too. Yes the only physical difference is the VA37 is enclosed, the VA31 is open. All the dimensions and hole positions are the same. However, SPAL spec says the VA31 has a higher flow rate and pulls 4.8 amps whereas the VA37 only pulls 4.3 amps. http://www.spalautomotive.c...
