Moto morini excalibur 500

Post by deanflowers »

Ive been asked by a friend of mine to sell his excalibur but we are finding it difficult to put to value on it. How much would say a 91 plate in very good condition is worth? it has 18,000 KM on it but is like new.

It would also come with new MOT and tax.

Where is the best place to advertise these bikes other than here of course ;)

Dean;

Check out the North Leicester web site - link from th eclub page. They advertise them sometimes, there was one on there recently. Some-one might want to bike for the 500 engine, so expect some haggling!

You can also adverise in the club magazine, ATG.

Good luck

NLM advertised their last one at £2,100 - so a private sale would be likely to less than that. You could see if they would be interested in it?

There's one on ebay at the moment for £1000 with no bids.

The trouble is they're simply not very popular. Nice to ride, but so ugly. Some people do love them, but you have to find them.

Its not really my thing custom bikes. Ive emailed NLM and would be prepared to let it go for the right money so they would be able to turn a tidy profit if they can sell them for £2000.

Probably looking to get £1500-£1600 for it as its really tidy apparently.

I noticed the one on ebay and thought the chances of two people looking to buy one were slim so there wouldnt really be any bidding war goin on over it.

I spoke to Stuart at NLM last week and he had over 50 emails in his in box and I should think that a bike for sale is quite low on the list of things to check out and respond to.
