Re: mid-bike crisis! Update

Well she's gone, Tuono sold today. Couldn't face taking her for a last ride even as I knew I wouldn't have let her go. Still, bikes should be ridden they're not ornaments. Just two bikes now, my lovely 3 1/2 sport and the V7 Guzzi I bought brand new in march. The plan was to have the guzzi for when my battered carcass couldn't kick the sport or i was working on or fettling her. The reality is somewhat different! The morini (37years old and counting ) hasn't missed a beat (touch wood) the guzzi on the other hand has let me down twice. Oil all over left foot, porous dipstick cap (yes really) and a linkage pin on the gear side rearset sheared. 40 mile ride home over the beacons in 1st gear anyone? ! So I am planning to follow the Giro next year on the morini as it's more reliable....you couldn't write it...could you?
