"had this brush 30 yrs"

Post by Pat »

Its an old joke, I have had this brush 30 yrs, its had 3 new heads and four new handles. Reading through the weighty history of my sport, combined with the bits and pieces I have done, from what I can work out, the only parts I can genuinely see started out on her are the frame and maybe wheels and forks.yet also as far as I can ascertain, she's never been a parts project. Just kind of evolved over time. Yes it's raining and I was bored.

You could be talking about my Sport as well. I had it new in 77, did 15 yrs of general abuse and 95,000 miles then the second owner, Andy Mc Cutcheon had it another 16/17 yrs and reckons about 30,000 miles more, before I bought it back. I know I changed loads of bits, many unnecessary. I do know the frame, swinging arm, crankcases and wheel hubs are the originals. As for the rest, definitely changed at some point. It is still my bike though...
Sent you a PM btw.
