Anybody seen this?

Had this from TomTom. I thought they were safety cameras, not revenue generators.

LAW IN EFFECT STARTED 27 APRIL 2020

Germany outlaws speed camera alerts

The new Road Traffic Regulation in Germany prohibits the use of devices that alert users to the locations of fixed and mobile speed camera locations.

We recommend that you disable speed camera alerts before and while driving in Germany.

You can, however, reactivate these alerts for travel outside Germany.

I think it is a recommendation in France, too. I will say that all fixed cameras have a huge signe several hundred metres in advance warning of their presence and what the limit is. No warnings about the Gendarme peeping from a ditch / bush / barn though, unless an oncoming motorist flashes their headlights!

This prohibicion is not that new in Germany, don´t know since when. I don´t have no problem with that because don´t use any gps stuff, still have my roadbook apoints in paper work
First thing you have to do when be stopped by the police is to close your tomtom or whatever if there is a warning system installed, before they get to you! They are not allowed to touch your instrument or telefone. The same rules for cars
