Water cooled dart. Who knew?!

Post by morini_tom »

The OCD has got the best of me and I have been drawing up all the other stickers on the dart (maybe available to buy in the future depending on how they come out)

Anyway, the warnings under the tank lid amused me. I've never paid any attention to what they actually say before.

The blue and red stickers, fairly sensible- don't spill nasty chemicals or use abrasives on the bodywork.

But the one in black text amused me- translated something like "warning- when you replace the coolant make sure you warm the engine to eliminate air bubbles"

Now I never knew the Dart was water cooled!

I can only assume this is a lazy carryover from the Freccia, but you'd have thought they'd just not bother putting the sticker on. It's not like it's a common part due to the morini paint job.

Not sure if all Darts had this sticker but on a sample of 3 they all do!

You'll be pleased to know, that despite the technical blunder, because I am a sad sod, I will be replicating the sticker and attaching one to my bike!

...and like the Freccia the Dart is a two stroke, isn't it?

You'll get the blue haze from the exhaust then, too.
