Replacement Side Panel Rubber Pins

Post by corsaro chris »

New Morini Product - courtesy of the Netherlands Club - many older Morini will be experiencing rubber fatigue of the little rubber pins that hold the side panels in place. In collaboration with the Dutch club we have purchased a batch of replacement pins, these match the originals and are a cinch to fit....

Pricing; Sold in sets of two or four

Two pins cost £4:00 with postage 90p = £4.90

Four pins cost £7:00 with the same postage = £7:90. It therefore makes sense to buy four at the same time

Show prices to club members will be £4:00 and £7:00, saving postage!

The photo shows the new and old pin (same profile) and also what happens after over thirty years of ownership. The pins go straight on as a replacement; make sure that they are warmed slightly in between thumb and forefinger and pushed right down on the metal holder - it's as simple as that.

Club members can get these direct from me (Chris Webber) at the address in the magazine. Remember to quote your membership number for the show discount... :)

MM - not at all; they will be listed on the clubs' web site shortly. But it does give club members the opportunity to get their order in whilst they're still available (less than fifty sets now...). However, it does encourage non-members to consider joining!

On the subject of encouraging members - for what it's worth - I think that Silentsuperb has every right to his or her view, but then so do all those who contribute to the Forum! It would be a shame if they didn't continue to contribute, though; the Morini community is small enough as it is!

Good riding,

Alan;

Yes please - you'll get the pins by return as soon as I have the cheque!

So far we've sold 4 sets, so not bad going... Almost as popular as the 2010 calendar (we still have a few of those, for members (and others) interested...

Good riding,

Stunty;

We have a few dozen left (I'm not going to say hundreds, because we haven't got that many...) so a cheque to the address in ATG will have four winging their way to you. The price quoted includes postage in the UK, but what with rates rising I really need to revise these (and other products generally).

Postage will be more outside the UK, and more again for the USA and Australisia, where we do have members!

Good riding,

Chris,
thanks for that info.
As a very recent Morini owner (one week), I've just tried to become a MRC member, but can do it online since it was being 'updated' some many moons ago! So becoming a member isn't going to be as quick as hoped... so the ATG is gonna be weeks away!! :( Unless of course the 'right' people are going to be there tomorrow?
Cheers

Hey Stunty - I'll bring some of the bungs with me... :lol:

Just look for the biggest, ugliest Morini in the line up, and don't forget the £7:00 (at least you'll save the postage).

Can I sell you a club sticker at the same time?

Good riding, and see you at Gordano or Bristol city centre,

Chris, sent you a cheque for 4 rubber panel pins about 3 weeks ago. Not heard anything and the cheque has not been cashed. Wondering if it reached you ok or just delayed with all the holidays recently.
Thanks
Si.

A cheque for £7.90 does the trick; the postal address is under products in ATG [the club magazine].

If you don't have a copy yet, send me a pm...

Welcome to the Club; looks like you have a nice tidy Strada there!

Hi Chris,

I bring a cheque with me for £7.00.
Can you bring 4 side panel rubber pins.
Like me the existing one's are starting to fall apart.
Have a good ride and see you tomorrow :D
