I've tried replacing my indicators with a couple of different LED strips. They look like they will be fine indoors, but they have not been great under an orange cover in bright sunlight. The effect is pretty much the same as the youtube video, which was done on an overcast day, but the bulbs are better in bright sunlight (only just). I'm now on the lookout for extra bright LEDs. Have come across this link in my search, which may give a cheaper, less bulky, option than the MM foglights.

I've got some LEDs from www.leonlighting.co.uk. Units designed for car repeaters. Amber coloured under my clear lenses are an improvement on original - I did not even have to reset the flasher unit from lamp to LED! Effectiveness to be tested when I go out with other riders ("I cannot see your indicators" a common cry upi to now - almost got rear-ended earlier in year!).
