Is my arse to short for one of these?

Post by Dougie »

I am thinking of buying a Gran Passo.

I am aware that it has a highish seat height.

Is there any kind member on here that would let a short arse try there Gran Passo for size.

Alternatively if anyone knows of one in a bike shop could they give me a shout. I am in West Yorkshire.

Thanks

Dougie;

You'll need an inside leg of about 30"... Alternatively you can (possibly) find a lowered seat - which means that you'd be OK with an inside leg of about 29" Or do as Butch on the forum suggests, and just develop the skill of landing with one toe!

If you are ever down this way you'd be welcome to sit on the GP in my garage.

Good hunting,

Inside leg 29". May need some winkle pickers. :)

Thanks for the offer to try your bike for size this is just what I was after.

I have family near Brisol/Bath, Leicester and in Glasgow. Maybe going north before I go south.

Indeed I am, but I only have a 'low' Corsaro. Ask Chris about cold Gran Passos.

I know they have changed the ECU on the 2014 Rebello.

Doe a custom map on a power commander sort out the stalling, does anything?

What sorts out the stalling is either lots of revs and slipping the clutch when pulling away or letting the engine warm up to over 40 degrees... Or concentrate and don't look back as you pull out of the drive!!! It's possible a remap might have sorted out the problem, but it's really just something to be aware of.

The shoulder still aches, and I stalled the GP back in 2011...

Good riding,

Im in Wigan if you want to try a Granpasso i only have 29" inside leg and i have both seats. Its a falacy that low seat is better for touching floor it is so you can operate controls proper. Low seat is wide and flat so you cant straighten your legs to touch ground like you can with soft high seat.

Butch - yes I did thanks and sorry for not responding (had some connectivity problems last month  ).

The voltage is reading somewhere between 13.7 and 14.4 - so not as extreme as I'd thought. The Corsaro reads 13.4 but the battery is pretty discharged, possibly drained by the alarm, which will have to come off! That'll be when I get around to it ~ lots to spend money on at this time of year

Good riding, and see you in 2015; are you up for the Classic TT, as it looks like it'll be fun!
