0mph on Speedo

Just been out for a ride on the Corsaro 1200.

Speedo reading 0mph at all times.
rear indicator flashes a couple of times then doesn't, front one double speed
when I stopped after a couple of miles, only reading 70C it looked like an awful lot of water pouring from left hand side of radiator, but doesn't seem to be coolant and stopped after a couple of minutes. Had washed bike at weekend and it was raining.
Injector light on periodically.

Am now completely lost as to the cause. Any ideas?

Moto Morini's don't like water.
Let the bike drying. I allways spray some contactspray on all connectors in the winter.

Next time. Wash your bike withe care and not to much waterspray. It's an Ittalian. They are sensitive

Odds are you'll have water ingress somewhere - check all the connectors.
The indicator problem sounds normal , if one fails the other will flash twice as fast.... sort out the fault to the rear and all should be fine again.
As well as sensor failure, an erratic speedo can be caused by a too large/small air gap - shims are used to set it correctly. Unlikley unless you've dismanteled it though.

OK, the indicator issue was down to a blown bulb, have replaced and all is well again.

I haven't dismantled the sensor so haven't changed the air gap. Still reading 0mph.

Injector light seems to have gone out, for now.

I am assuming the water was not coolant but rainwater running out of the radiator fins as the coolant level looks OK.

Have you checked that both battery terminals are secure?
For the speedo, clean the face of the rear wheel sensor, with something slightly abrasive, or by scraping.
My veloce did the 0 mph thing, then as it wasn't happy, the engine light came on, loose battery terminals didn't help!

I damaged my speedsensor by using a rear padock stand. If the stand is placed to close to the sensor/cabel it might have been damaged, I know since I have managed to do this with my self causing 0 speed reading and injector light on.

Cleaned the sensor face yet? Mine started doing the 0 mph thing when I took the bike to have a new tyre fitted in the IOM, I was convinced that they'd damaged the sensor or it's wiring, or messed up the air gap, I "cleaned" the face of the sensor but that made no difference. It wasn't until I got home and attacked it with something slightly more abrasive that it magically started working again. Give it a go......

Haven't yet cleaned the face of the sensor, will hopefully attack it this weekend. I'll let you know the outcome.

Removed the rear wheel and cleaned the sensor face and the heads of the disc bolts, still no joy. I think it's going to have to go to a service centre.

Did you have the rear tire changed? The sensor is often damaged by the paddock stand used. Take the sensor out and check it carefully for cracks - if any water gets in and it won't work - the orange light comes on.
Various ducati's use the same sensor.....
