2007 Veloce blowers

Post by kCo »

Hi,
Im getting new radiator blowers for my Veloce from ebay. So Original is Spal Va37 a101 46A

Is this whole different?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPAL-COOLING-FA ... 1593wt_867

also found this Va31-a101-46a
Is only difference with these that this one is with open frame?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPAL-COOLING-FA ... 629wt_1124

thank for your advices

I recently had a blown fan too.
Yes the only physical difference is the VA37 is enclosed, the VA31 is open. All the dimensions and hole positions are the same.
However, SPAL spec says the VA31 has a higher flow rate and pulls 4.8 amps whereas the VA37 only pulls 4.3 amps.

Don't know enough about the electrical system to say whether the relays/wiring would cope with the extra half an amp...
Hope you get sorted soon.

You Guy's are to good. One of my spinning doovers stopped spinning. Not good, getting hot here in Aussie land 100 in the shade.Noticed on the back of the motor housing a raised melted globule signifying extreme heat from a internal short.Spal VA37 a101 46A 4.3 Amps.Got it. Open or closed I do not care as long as it spins.Cheers Guvo
