fuel system

Post by loki100 »

Hello everybody!

If I remove the tank, the fuel is running out.... Is it normal? What is close the benzin pipes? What should be the problem?
The other problem is that the oil level had grown up with benzin (smell). Have you ever met anybody with this?

Thanks in advance.

If the tank is half full or above, quite normal.
When you tilt the tank back to remove fuel lines and electrical connector, fuel will run out through the breather.
Worth disconnecting the battery to make absolutely sure of no source of ignition.

Never heard of the oil level going up like that on a fuel injected bike.
Could you have a leaky fuel line/injector inside the airbox which is running down into the motor through the crankcase breather?

Thanks the posts!
I disassemble the injector heads and I will make clean with ultrasonic system and they will test them too.
I have already the same experience with my RN09 R1, the cleaning solved the problem.

Otherwise could you guys suggest me a good map and where can I download, because my MM drink too much and makes black smoke and stinky.

Standard system or Termis?

My 06 had a good map, see posts from 3 years ago.

Take it to a rolling road and have it mapped properly.

Ensure everything to spec first. Plugs, valves, air filter, injectors etc.
