Veloce, Ohlins shock.

Is there anyone with an Ohlins equipped Veloce that can tell me how the braided hose between reservoir and shock is fitted?
Mine loops inwards towards the rear header. When I serviced the shock, I replaced the hose as the plastic outer had melted due to proximity to the exhaust. The same thing has (not surprisingly) happened again despite my efforts to manipulate it's position away from the exhaust.
Are they all fitted this way?
I'm sure it can't be good for the performance of the suspension.
I thought about maybe looping the hose outwards instead, towards the left rear set.
It's bit difficult to experiment with it's position without depressurizing and draining the shock.
Anyone been down this road?
Cheers
Jim.
