CORSARO clutch action lumpy ???

Post by nfitz »

Hi - Has anyone else experienced their clutch action to be lumpy? When I change up or down there is a "lump" or "flutter" felt through the lever nead the end of travel out(and conversely just after pulling it on the way in.

I'm starting to think it might be a bet push rod.

Thoughts woudl be appreciated before I get it into the dealers for a look under warranty.

Cheers Nigel

Hi Nigel,

I get a pulsating feel through the lever which I think is the slipper chutch engaging and disengaging as it rides up and down the ramps, and therefore nothing to worry about. It is noticeable on my corsaro but nowhere near the extent it was on a 996R I rode where the lever practically jumped in and out of your hand.

Never noticed this in 10,000 miles...

But then I don't find the clutch heavy, either...

It does go into first with a bit of a clunk, though!

To update you all -

The action is now much lighter and smoother. Fault??? the clutch fluid was black like thin engine oil and had air in the system. So I changed the fluid and re-bled the system.
