Air filter

Post by AusVeloce »

Hi all, I have just had the timing chains and a dyno done on my 2008 Corsaro Veloce and am very happy with the result. When I picked the bike up the mechanic pointed out that the air filter needs replacing as the rubber edging is starting to break up. I thought this would be a straight forward exercise in finding an aftermarket replacement but no luck. The current filter is a BMC unit that I purchased a few years back so I contacted the BMC agents in Aust and they advised that they don't have any records of a filter being available for the bike. Is the filter common to other marques or is anyone aware of where I could locate a replacement?

there may be a chance that DNA will put Morini 1200 air filters in production... I'll keep you posted!
just to make sure: all 1200 air filters are the same... or not? ( know the Granpasso has a different one but all Corsaro, 9 1/2, 11 1/2 are the same as far as I know)

cleaner and oiling will still leave some stuff in there. And the characteristics of the filter will be different, I am very happy with DNA on my Duc SC and Guz V7

The red polyurethane border started breaking up and the guys who replaced the timing chains recommended I replace the filter to avoid the risk of something breaking off and entering the engine.

I will post pictures this week, does anybody know exactly which models fit part number M82210001400 and M82200001400 (seem to be identical, first is corsaro number second 9 1/2)

Anybody knows to what models will fit this filter? Original numbers for the filter (for as far as I know) are M82210001400 of M82200001400. For the filter housing I sent them M82020002010 & M82020001010 (ZLM-BV2 & ZLM-CV2).

Shortlist I can trace through the webs:
* all 9 1/2
* all 11 1/2
* early Corsaro's (untill 2009?)
* Scrambler (untill 2009?)

Correct my where I'm wrong... Just started this process to get filter available for MM owners as BMC does not sell them except to certified MM dealers

Yup the rubber surround on the air filter on my early 2009 Scrambler is looking like it might break up and it's M82210001400 and I'd like a new one!
