Making of a Moto Morini 9 1/2 S Sbezziale

Post by brmoke »

Hello everybody,

in the german Morini Forum ital-web.de we have started a project of the 9 1/2 S Sbezziale - inspired by the mighty 3 1/2.
I just want to inform you about our multilingual project site http://www.sbezziale.de - just take a visit.
All what's happening right now is the genesis of a prototype which is to be presented at the Glemseck 101 meeting near Stuttgart in september.
Afterwards we are planning to make a kit for all those who want to convert their 9 1/2 in an S Sbezziale based on the design of Oberdan Bezzi.

Regards, Benedikt

Benedikt;

That looks like a really interesting project - thanks for letting us in the UK and elsewhere know about it!

Personally, I'd like to see a swing arm from the Sport / Scrambler / Granpasso used instead of that from the donor bike, but there are lots of more pressing issues to address first! How much fuel will you get in that tank, as there looks to be precious little space in the first cut designs? The Corsaro only gets 160 kilometres plus a bit as it is, and that has 17 litres!

Good luck, and keep us posted as to progress,

 there are rumors of about 14 l. With the mapping that people use here, it would be enough for those 160 km  .

Maybe we already can see something in Dresden, 34th german/internacional morini meeting, maybe ...
A good reason to come along, isn´t it?

Hello,
i would like to intodruce myself shortly.
I´m Axel (nickname 916 RS) and
and will do most of the technical things of Spezziale rebuild.
If there are Questions ,please ask.
The gas tank will have a capacity nearly 14 L.
We know it exactly after building.
The fuel consumption will be 5,5 L up to 7L at full open Throttle.
The HP will be arround 130 with the Stock 9 1/2 engine.

This is depending of AFR based autotune and datalogging system.
This programm calculated the fuel consumption and rewrite
the fuel relavant maps to more HP and less fuel consumption.
Hope to get 4 to 8 PS extra hp with a complete custom exhaust system,
head porting, exactly the same compression ratio on each
cylinder head and machining the valves and seats.
Even cam timing will be change to exatly the same for front and rear.
This is only blue printing and not big tuning.
If there is interest in the Sbezziale concept bike we keep you informed.

Regards
Axel
