Tubeless... really?

Post by MrWilson »

Hello!

My 2009 9 1/2 has ordinary spoke wheels. I´m a second owner, and I found inner tubes in both tyres. My mechanic also says there`s no such thing as a spoke wheels with tubeles. The user manual says they are tubeless style. What´s the truth? And if they are tubeless, do they work as they should?

Lots of BMW have spoke wheels with tubless tyres, as have the MV Dragster, so they do exsist

Originally they would have been tubeless, but the rubber grommets will probably have perished and the warranty fix was to put in a tube; it's the same for the Gran Passo, which is why the GP - R (with alloy wheels) is so tempting, all else being equal!

Good riding,
